We've been curious why they were always packed. Usually their drive-thru lines are wrapped around the building or spilling out into the streets kind of busy. Stopped in today to try them out as they weren't too busy. The young lady at the counter was friendly, explained everything with ease and did exceptionally well with placing our order. The order was 2 plain meat and cheese tostadas, plain meat and cheese burrito, enchilada, guacamole with chips and two sweet teas. When we got our tea we noticed we were drinking sugared water, no tea in sight. Not even a hint of tea flavored. The building was mostly empty mind you, so when we sat at a booth the entire seating area was open. Needless to say a couple had to sit right behind us and proceed to talk loudly and squirm in their booth like toddlers do with impatience. As soon as this begins, one of their employees decides to sit right behind me and play his music extremely loud. As soon as we move the employee decides to get up and walk outside. Guess he couldn't be bothered to do that earlier.
Our meal finally arrives somewhere underneath the most awesome mountain of cheese you'll ever meet. Too be quite honest I'd probably eat that and the chips and skip the rest of this meal and been happy. I could only do 2 stars though cause we didnt like the majority of our meal. Everything was too salty for me to tolerate. I manage 2 small bites out of the enchilada and ate just a few more of the guacamole. The chips alone actually were great, they held up well against the guacamole and didnt break. He finished the 2 tostadas but not the burrito. It was average...
Read moreWe were on a cross-country trip, so basically a food stop is also a bathroom stop. Taco Casa was a "Possible" place for us to dine, so we stopped there hoping to get Breakfast Burritos. Taco Casa doesn't sell breakfast burritos, so I decided to go elsewhere. In the mean time, being that we'd been in the car for hours, my son went to use the restroom. As a "Courtesy", my daughter went to make a small purchase, being that we'd made ourselves at home. This is the point where things got "Strange". We have a family of 6, so our rental car was such that we could travel in comfort. The attendant that took my daughter's order had the nerve to tell her that her order (which she didn't have to make) was "Awfully Small", based on our "Fancy Car". Literally, you can't make this kind to po-dunk, trailer-trash type of non-sense up. The purchase was a "Courtesy" to begin with but leave it to biased, rude people to make that whole thing weird. My daughter didn't tell me about the comment until we were in the car and I told her immediately not to eat the food. I'm not from this state and we are travelers, so I don't know what kind of tensions dark skin gets in this area, but this wasn't the only instance. My suggestion to the corporations doing business in this area is that they secret shop all of their Yukon OK locations. The workers in this area seem to really have a problem with darker hues of people. Next time, I'll just...
Read moreImma be honest here. I haven’t eaten at this store but one time, and it was sometime last year. We were in town and I had just eaten at the one in Moore a few days before and it blew my mind how good their Tex-Mex is. I talked it up to my wife, who does not like to venture out. Well she finally said yes after I talked a big game and when we got there it was fine, not as clean as Moore, but still good. Once we got our food, I noticed everything was cold. None of the cheese was melted. The beans and sauce were burnt to the sides of the containers they were served in, and the store was ice cold, not incredibly comfy, and I’m a guy who has the thermostat at like 65 year round and sleeps in the winter with a fan on 3.
Fast forward to yesterday. My wife and I are in Moore getting ready to watch the new Superman movie and I suggest Taco Casa and she says “ok”. So we eat and good lord it’s delicious. Exactly how I remember it from the year before. A literal fast food 5 ⭐️ experience.
Yukon, you...
