Three months ago we visited Lorec Ranch in Oklahoma City from Tulsa looking to purchase an entire living room of furniture. (Sofa, ottoman, 2 chairs). A young employee seemed charming and helpful. She showed us different leathers, fabric and designs. After a couple of hours we had made pretty good progress but not positive yet so we decided to spend the night and return the next day. We spoke to the same girl when we arrived and finalized the deal for a ready date of about October 1st. 2.5 months passed and we received a text from Mary Wick, VP of Lorec Ranch, asking us what did we buy from them. REALLY!??. We ordered over $12,000 from them almost 3 months ago and they didn't know what we ordered. After the text she sent we received another text from her that included a photo. She asked if the photo she sent was the furniture we bought. NOOOO! She still didn't know what we bought. We decided to call instead of text to make sure things were straight. We even looked up a picture of our style furniture and sent it to her. Mary was syrupy, overly sweet and informed us that the leather selected for our furniture was no longer available. OMG! Don't you secure and put back the leather upholstry that was selected before making promises on an order? Well that's down the tube! So we asked if she could find a similar leather and she agreed she would. She promised to send us pictures of similar leathers. Instead, 2 WEEKS later we got a text from her informing us that they had FOUND OUR FURNITURE! And our order would be ready in 2.5 weeks. We never knew it was lost! And we never selected our second choice leather so how could it be ready and correct. Mary finally sent us 2 pictures of leather she was suggesting that was no where near what we ordered. To make sure we could see and touch the sample leathers we decided to drive all the way back to Oklahoma City to try and straighten this mess up. Mary said she would be there when we arrived and she was. We entered the store and first met the owner, Dr. Kari Lopez. She was very pleasant and we asked to see Mary, they are sisters BTW, and Mary came out to greet us in the now familiar overly jolly self. We began speaking about leathers to replace ours that was no longer available. Samples were shown and we studied them for quite some time. Some were relatively close but really not satisfied. Since we had picked out some hair on hide pieces to be used in all our items we were told they always put aside the actual hide to make sure it's correct when they need to use it. They looked for quite some time and never found anything put back for us. We REALLY didn't want to have to wait another 3 or 4 months without furniture. We have been using lawn chairs for the last 3 months and didn't want to do it for another 3 months. Mary offered to upgrade our leather that she claimed would be worth $20,000 in place of our $12,000 order. Still didn't come close enough so our very reluctant compromise was we could possibly select another different leather but not the hair on hide we originally ordered they said the put aside with our name on it. We had been wanting an antler chandelier and they had a couple of small ones we liked. We also found some tooled leather that helped replace what we didn't like. The chandelier was priced $3000 and the change of leather was another $200. Our compromise was give us the chandelier and the change of leather and we could continue with the order. Our thought was they were willing to give us up to.the $20,000 ($8000 difference) value but we only wanted $3,200 difference. That was turned down so we opted for a refund. Kari was very calm and professional while Mary showed her true vicious colors. To begin with when Mary saw it probably wasn't going their way her entire demeanor changed. At a very loud and disturbing voice said "I WANT THIS FINISHED TODAY! To make a long story short, Mary insulted us by accusing us of trying to take advantage of THEM! We wasted 3 months of time with this business. It was...

Read moreI was told my furniture would take two weeks. I called after two weeks and was told the furniture would be ready the next day. I arranged a truck for pickup and called just to make sure and was told she would call me right back. After waiting a while I called again and the Owner answered, put me on hold for a while and then asked what I wanted. I told her the previous info, and asked if my furniture was ready to be picked up. She said they were not, and I asked if any work had even really began.
The Owner told me that it usually takes 4 weeks to do furniture and my stuff had not even been started on (although Tonnie told me it was ready for pickup the day before). When I told her that a saleswoman named Tonnie told me Yesterday that it would be ready today she did not even flinch and told me it usually takes 4 weeks. I clearly stated that the Owner should have a talk with her salespeople about not misinforming, misleading, or lying about services just to get off the phone and that I had gone through the trouble of getting a truck for delivery. She totally blew me off and I will not give them another dime as I planned to buy a kitchen table and 6 chairs from Lorec.
They should give me a deal on the work I already paid for but they are unscrupulous and indifferent when it is brought to light.
Spend your hard earned money and time elsewhere.
Their salespeople also inquire into the direct nature of your job and salaries not even disguising their...
