Very nice waiter, he said it was his first day.
They really want you to eat. We left after only receiving 2 meats not 3, in our first round.
Thank God for that because it was a lot of food for a first round, in my humble opinion.
I’m a bit of a cook so the food wasn’t anything I couldn’t make on my own.
Was weird that we had to pay $4 to take the food with us. Even though your never asked how large or small of a portion you want to receive.
Honestly, I’ve loved these kind of BBQ places in Japan and was really expecting a different experience.
My daughter was really excited and I was excited for her. We didn’t eat so we would really enjoy ourselves at 3pm.
Really enjoyed the smaller portions so you could try more items, from over seas restaurants like this one.
The salad bar was not a salad bar, in my opinion and the only sauce I tried other the the ranch was gotchu sauce but it tasted watered down.
I ordered Spicy and while the meat was marinated it was not spicy. Daughter order baby octopus and pork belly. She is 8 btw and they gave her 5 baby octopus whole and 5-6 thick slices of pork belly.
I felt Each portion of food, is the recommended portion size for an entire meal.
They are serving basically 2 whole portions of meat from the very beginning. Or maybe they only did this to us😳
This picture is how much was left (again after the first round-we did not try any other items) after we were both full.
I’m sure there are some real eaters who would or might disagree and I encourage you to check them out and leave a review.
Ultimately this place wasn’t for my family, but maybe it’s for yours.
Felt more like a “hurry up and eat” kind of place versus a “come enjoy our culture through food”.
Not a place I’m willing to go back to without some changes.
1 star for kind service, 1 star for speedy service, 1 star for providing a new experience with someone I Love dearly.
Happy to give them the last 2 stars for a more quality experience. I.e. smaller portions per round and details like sticky rice with a top, so the rice doesn’t dry out, authentic sauces at the table, maybe butter to cook with and traditional side dishes.
Hope this helps you better decide where you want to spend your money and your time, because the first takes time to receive and the latter is priceless.

Read moreWe came here a couple months ago when it had just opened. Now normally I try not to judge a restaurant too much when it’s their couple weeks/month of opening, but this experience was one of the worse we’ve ever had, from beginning to end. It was still winter, so quite chilly. There were plenty of open tables but they sat us right in front of the double doors which were constantly opening and closing blowing us with the chilly air. Our server was very scatter brained and didn’t know the menu, what drinks they offered, or anything about any of the food. We had to tell her a solid five times what the first three meats we wanted were. While we’re waiting for the meat, we go check out the salad bar which was a bunch of pickled veggies which we were excited about. Got some kimchi and daikon. They both did not taste fresh. We were still waiting on meat. In the meantime, there were people seated in front and behind us (big parties). They ordered and got their food before we did. We finally get our meat, it’s alright, but we proceed to wait another solid 20-30 minutes waiting for someone to come back so we can put in another order for me. Keep in mind, it’s all you can eat and it’s timed. We had gotten one order of meat in 45 minutes. We had to ask other servers to change our grill. We finally decide to just leave because no one was helping us and it wasn’t worth our time. We get someone else to grab our bill and our server FINALLY comes back. They all were trying to convince us to stay but we really just wanted to pay and leave. Our server was muttering under her breath the whole time, which was unprofessional. The manager comes over and asks if there was anything he could do, and we asked if we could get a discount since we literally ate one plate of meat. He discounted us 50%. I honestly think both of our meals should have been comped but at that point we just wanted to leave so we appreciated that we at least got 50% off. We ended up grabbing food somewhere else and eating at home. It wasn’t worth the 25 minute drive. There’s a lot that needs to be worked on before we would ever consider...
