My friend and I scheduled a couples' session to sneak in some much-needed relaxation time. I got stuck in traffic and had to let them know I'm was running 15 minutes late, which they were very patient and forgiving about. The scalp evaluation was really interesting and we got to take a REALLY CLOSE look at my scalp. the treatment room was cozy and clean. We took off our shoes and climbed under the optional blankets to get started. The tables were pretty firm, but I felt like everything else was pretty comfortable. My friend mentioned afterwards that she wished the bolster was bigger to give her better low back support. Mine was okay for my body type. There were several different steps that included scalp massage, exfoliation, cleansing, streaming conditioning, more massage... And honestly I lost track because I was so relaxed I was dozing. The session was a lovely length and the only reason I wasn't completely asleep but the end is that I really had to use the restroom! 😅 After the treatment, we went back into the first room and the practitioners did a second scan of our scalps to show us the difference in the condition of the skin. You could definitely see the difference between the before and after! Then they blow dried our hair and offered us green tea. It was a really nice end to the day, and my hair feels incredibly soft! I enjoyed the experience a lot! If I could wave a magic wand to improve anything, I'd probably want better body support on the treatment table, a towel behind my neck or a spa wrap to keep my shirt from getting wet, and possibly a second post-session drink option (the green tea was aromatic and perfect, but personally, it upsets my stomach, so I only had a sip). Ashley performed my service and admitted she was new to the facility, but did a great job and seemed enthusiastic about her work. The other practitioner was a patient teacher and her guidance wasn't distracting from our experience at all. I really love seeing when professionals can help each other learn without being awkward or condescending. Thank you, Solari staff, for giving us such a special...
Read moreI liked the service but I didn't like a lot of things throughout the service. - My friend and I got up charged for long hair, I understand with my hair but her hair wasn't even past her shoulders. - I have seborrheic dermatitis and over processed ends, l tried to ask for advice for products to use on my hair and she said " Well your hair isn't looking so great " and I felt uncomfortable because I know it is that is why I am asking for advice. - I ended up having a flair up after the service, my scalp felt very dry, itchy, bumpy and uncomfortable after it was done it already started to peel which I think that's normal I'm not too sure honestly.. - I know it was a basic blow dry, but they didn't put any products in my hair or my friend's hair. Plus when we finally walked out I realized my friend had product all over the side of her face still.. - We took videos because it was our first time experiencing something like this and in one of the videos you can see that my hair stylist was just on her phone and I thought that was unprofessional.. Overall I I just didn't feel good after the service I felt like I wasted $280 dollars for my friend and I.
I saw your response but l honestly won't be returning. Also I forgot to mention in the review because I didn't want to embarass yall. So since the messaging seems to not be seen in Vagaro I’ll just put it out here, But the thing we put our head on and the steam bags smelled like dirty old water and mold.. The salon needs to be cleaned especially that area, I don't think others would appreciate having an allergic reaction. I'm allergic to mold I ended up having an allergic reaction. I was never contacted, but my friend was. I looked it up it's not normal to have hives itchy and dryness in my scalp and face the only way it would've gotten to my face was because of the steam cap.. so I honestly would like a refund & definitely will not...
Read moreThey basically just wash your hair 5 times for $125 and it takes over 2 hours. I went for the Japanese scalp treatment and arrived on time at 3:15pm. They were running late so I was left to wait for a long time. The appointment itself was only supposed to last an hour or an hour and 20 minutes, but I didn’t get done until around 5:30pm. I was left alone for long periods of time at multiple points throughout the process. There was no communication at all from the esthetician either. I thought there was a massage as part of this service, but that never happened. I just got my hair washed several times. I felt cold because of the water and wanted to ask for a blanket or something, but my esthetician just got up and left without saying anything at one point. I had some plastic tube on my head, but was by myself in a dark room with no idea what was on my head, where she went, or when she was coming back. When she told me I could get up, she left some clips and a towel on the lower half of my hair that felt quite heavy and actually caused pain pulling my head down. The tube (or whatever it was) also rubbed off all my moisturizer on my forehead which left deep impressions there. When I asked for some moisturizer to help she seemed surprised. Shouldn’t estheticians be aware of not leaving someone’s skin dry with marks that can lead to wrinkles/fine lines? I was left alone again while waiting for a blow dry which was the longest blow drying session of my life for some reason. Again, the esthetician never really talked or explained anything about the process. It was pretty uncomfortable laying there, feeling cold, for most of the time. My boyfriend had a facial and said she also didn’t talk to him. He could hear her listening to music on headphones, and she never explained what she was...
