Read moreI cannot recommend Zorba’s Mediterranean Restaurant highly enough! We recently hosted a retirement party here for my husband, who has been working since he was just seven years old. This event was incredibly important to me, and I wanted everything to be perfect—the food, the atmosphere, and the ability for guests to mingle comfortably. Zorba’s delivered on every level and exceeded my expectations in every way.
From the start, the Owner/General manager Mark, went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was handled with care. He helped us create a customized, abbreviated menu that was both cost-effective and full of delicious, beautifully presented dishes. Ingrid, the talented Chef, worked closely with me to put together a menu that everyone would love, and Karlah designed a lovely menu sheet for our guests.
Speaking of Karlah—her service was absolutely five-star. She was incredibly kind, professional, patient, and attentive, making sure that every guest was well taken care of. Keyon also assisted Karlah throughout the evening, and his service was equally exceptional. Their teamwork and dedication made the evening flawless.
The food was outstanding, from the fresh and vibrant Greek salad to the perfectly cooked entrees. Our guests raved about every dish. The restaurant’s ambiance was warm and inviting—perfect for gathering with loved ones in a relaxed yet well-appointed setting.
This was a truly memorable evening, and I owe so much of that to Mark, Karlah, Keyon, Ingrid, and the entire Zorba’s team. If you’re looking for an amazing place to host an event or simply enjoy an incredible Mediterranean meal, Zorba’s is the place to go.
I’m also attaching a photo of the customized menu they created for us—it was such a...
Read moreSo I'm from the Twin Cities in MN and riding around the OkC for the first time and thinking it's going to be BBQ, steak, or Mexican at El Rinconcito for dinner; when in Rome and all that. Then I spot a sign saying "Love is in the air! Oh wait! That's our kebabs"! I think to myself, Persians!
They close at 9:00 and it's 8:45. I venture in thinking if the kitchen is still open I may need to do take-out but no, Farshid graciously seats me and says no hurry.
Ironically, there is only one kabob on the menu, kabob koobideh I think, but some of my other favorites are dolmades, falafel, avgolemono, and gyros in a few forms including a family dish - creamy gyros which I've not seen on any menu so I hafta try that!
I start with the avgolemono and was disappointed it didn't have that lemony punch generally characteristic of this classic Greek soup. I loved the dolmades and falafel appetizer! The flavors and textures are spot-on and the housemade dipping sauces a special treat. As hoped, they're served in generous enough proportion for lunch the next day.
The spicy beef and lamb gyros tossed in a reduced cream sauce with onion and garlic sided with saffroned basmati rice. The spiciness of the meat and the creaminess of the sauce made for a memorable dish. It was so rich it made me sweat! I ate about half and had plenty to take home.
I enjoyed the opportunity for conversation with Kasra and Farshid and especially Ana Maria. Great staff, great food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming dining room made for a good dinner experience. If I lived in the OkC, I'd...
