Been here a handful of times now...
I'm a watch enthusiast and know enough about watches, repair, and accessories to say with confidence that this shop is terrible. The guy that runs the place doesn't know what he's talking about and I would be terrified to let him open one of my watches up.
First time I was in he sold me a "high quality swiss battery" for my cheap quartz watch that in fact is not high quality but just a RENATA generic battery you can buy in bulk anywhere online.
Second time I was in I was looking in his case and noticed he had a Rolex Datejust sitting on the shelf. I asked him what year it was and after a couple minutes of him babbling nonsense he mentioned that the case doesn't have serial numbers. So my first thought was "Cool so this dude is selling franken-watches and/or outright fakes in this little mall shop" and he lost basically all legitimacy he had going for himself at that point. Now there is a chance this watch was also either stolen or a grey market piece of some kind (based on the serial number being removed) but no matter how you spin it, it's not good business.
More recently I was in to try and buy a strap from him. Figured it couldn't hurt but boy was I wrong. Basically he stocks a bunch of super cheap "Made in Italy" straps and tries to sell them for three times what they're worth. Anyone can stamp "Made in _" on something but that doesn't make it a good quality product. This is especially true in the world of watches and watch straps.
Overall, the guy runs a poor business that almost seems more like a front for a drug operation than it does a legitimate watch...
Read moreI had a very emotional experience with my beloved engagement ring — a small diamond had fallen out and was completely lost. This ring is incredibly special to me: it’s the one my husband proposed with four and a half years ago, and I’ve worn it every single day since. Needless to say, I was heartbroken and also very anxious about how much the repair would cost — especially here in the U.S., where jewelry repairs can be extremely expensive.
I found Charlie’s Watch & Jewelry Repair on Google and saw all the glowing reviews, so I decided to stop by just to ask for a quote. From the moment I met Charlie, I could tell I was in good hands. He’s not only a true professional, but also a person with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He took the time to listen to my story, inspected the ring carefully, and offered me a very fair and reasonable price — so reasonable, in fact, that I left the ring with him that very day.
Just a few days later, my ring was ready — and I was stunned. Not only did Charlie replace the missing diamond, but he also straightened the band (which had become slightly bent over time), and gave the whole ring a deep clean. It now looks brand new — like the day it was first placed on my finger.
I can’t thank Charlie enough. His kindness, craftsmanship, and honesty mean the world to me. I wish him all the success and many more grateful customers like me. Thank you, Charlie — from the bottom of my...
Read moreThe most outstanding service I have ever received from a business. From the original phone call to ask about the services I was needing, to follow up calls for directions inside the massive mall..... To the custom personalized engraving they did on my pocket watch! Wow.
They treated me like I mattered, like I was special like I was family.
I'll return with my mantal clock that was a gift to my grandmother on her wedding day, then she gifted it to me on my wedding day. That's how much I trust this business.
I can not recommend them enough.
I called 6 other jewelry stores between chehalis and Olympia none of them could help me with my engraving needs.
I could Charlie's in the Capitol Mall as I kept calling from store to store.
They got me in right away and took care of me on the spot.
You would have thought I was a long time customer that had spent thousands of dollars. That's how they treated me.
If you're looking for jewelry, watch it click repair or engraving... Please go see Charlie's in the mall. You will be delighted...
