Express Japan — Restaurant in Olympia

I have been here several times throughout the years. This has always been my favorite teriyaki place. BUT, to top it off, as a pregnant woman walking the mall, I got over heated and nauseous so I went to the coffee shop for a water and they said they only sell one size of tap water for $2. I didn't have my wallet on me and I was disturbed by the greed so I came to the teriyaki place and as always, they were incredibly kind and gave me a small cup of water and I can't express how much it helped me. They've always been amazing, but I'm truly thankful for this experience. I will always support this place. Great food and kind staff! I wish more places...

Quality has dropped dramatically in the last 6 months. My wife and I used to come here pretty much every time we came to the Capitol Mall, but we went today after 6 months tha or so and the food was really disappointing. Food was bland and swimming in oil, portions are about 30% smaller, they've started charging for one of the sauces the have that used to be free, and they just leave fully cooked portions on the flat top grill they use causing it to burn before it gets given to customers. I dont know if management changed or what happened, but we're not gonna be back after this...

It used to have great food, I loved the beef teriyaki. Hubby and I went today and the food is oily, flavorless and the only decernable flavor is SALT. The portions are much smaller, even with double meat. The "vegetables" are just over oiled cabbage with 2 shreds of carrot now, not the vegetable mix that includes broccoli like they're advertising. They've also started charging 50 cents per tiny cup of sauce. Overall disappointing and we will not be back. The most flavorful thing about the meal...
