We bought our tickets online and regretted not buying VIP to skip the line. We couldn't upgrade our tickets online. We stood outside in the line for 2 hours only to find out at the door that we could've gone to the VIP line and upgraded our tickets at the door. Why they didnt advertise this somehow or had the actors outside letting people know is beyond me cuz yall missed out on plenty of money from people who didn't know they could upgrade. After 2 hours of waiting we got put with a group of 4 total behind a group of 6. We had a horrible experience through the house because the group in front of us were so slow we kept running into them. It ruined the majority of the jump scares for our group and the ambience of the house because multiple times the actors went out of character to ask us if we were part of the group ahead of us, and stop us for awhile so we could get some space from the group ahead of us. We stopped 3x in the house because the group ahead of us was so slow we kept catching up with them. That group ruined the entire house for us because they weren't being kept up to pace, or we weren't held back long enough to get them through. We got to see them get scared which ruined the fear factor for us because we knew where all the actors were and they couldn't reset quick enough for our group. The decorations were great and that's the only reason why I give any stars because for the amount of time we waited and the money we paid we got 1 single jump scare the whole time. I left pissed off and ready to leave. It was a huge waste of our time and money because the timing between groups wasn't being addressed well enough. If the owners want $ they need to let it be known that it's possible to upgrade your ticket - we would've done that in a heart beat and I'm sure others would too if we only knew. And there needs to be something in place to keep groups moving so that it's not ruined for the people behind them who keep...
Read moreAs a long time haunt aficiando I was excited to see that this haunt offered a "family night" where I could take my young son through with a tour guide and no actors. One of the creators provided headphones for my son to make sure the loud noises wouldn't hurt his ears (they keep these on hand for people that need them). Even without actors this place is insane... I can't believe the craftsmanship that has gone into the different rooms and it was actually very intense even knowing nobody would pop out at any time. I can't even imagine how scary this place is with the fog machines running and dozens of actors scaring your pants off.
As a bonus, the candy store upstairs is also full of museum-like pop culture items and has a great soda bar with reasonably priced burgers, fries, shakes - the works. Of course a boatload of candy and confections. The staff was amazing.
If you are going to spend the money to really get scared, this is the place to...
Read moreOkay I waited until the next day to write a review so this wasn't influenced by the candy at the end you can get if you do a good review. Regardless of that I actually had a good time for the price. They went all out and the different rooms were done really well, several times my partner and I couldn't tell if some props were props or actors. You can't take pictures there but their promo videos are pretty accurate. I went on a Thursday so it was only $18 and lasted about 30min which is good bang for your buck these days I think. There could have been more actors, if felt like some stretches didn't have people that would be there but I can understand an actor shortage or having less on a weekday. I thought this was better than mystery manor when that was open, and no slide that felt scarier than the house. Will probably go again next year maybe on a weekend...
