Eat the Worm — Restaurant in Omaha

Attempted to visit there tonight. It was still early in the night and my group wanted to hang out for a couple hours, have some drinks and order some grub. We barely walked in and a worker asked if I had a mask (I wasn't wearing one). I notified him that I didn't and he said I couldn't come in unless I had one. I know he's just doing his job and businesses are under the microscope and all, but I didn't even have a chance to answer. I do have a military medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask and I felt it was ironic that he told me that while a couple of other gentlemen were walking around the bar completely maskless. We're tourists and just passing through so I know they're not dependent on my business but it just seems like they didn't want/need our business at the time. Visit at...

Ill be blunt,

Service: is terrible especially if it is busy. You have to go up to the bar to order anything no one will come to you so be prepared on that also staff attitude is horrible most of the time they are either frustrated or act as they do not want to help or serve you very off putting.

Food: The food is good its hot when it comes out almost anything on the menu tastes great. HOWEVER.. that being said expect something to go wrong either hair in the food or is incorrect from what you have ordered. But from time to from you get what you order.

Drinks: Decently priced margaritas that are very strong and have good flavor so a good place to pregame.

Atmosphere: Very loud & difficult to talk or hold a conversation even with someone sitting next to you.

Staff was very friendly and attentive, no complaints there. The food was... .. as authentic as possible being further from the southern border than I'm used to, but the tacos, burrito, and quesadillas were not horrible.

Lastly, whether it was the fault of the restaurant or not, there was a German cockroach (Blattella germanica) scurrying across where we ate. A sample size of 1 doesn't indicate infestation, but, based on experience, where there is one, there are more. They are dangerous for us and can cause disease. I'm sorry to mention this as it may in fact be an outlier in a normally clean kitchen and nice staff, but people must be aware of the potential to exposure of harmful bacteria carried by...
