If I could give them zero stars I would. We went to Kingsley Jewely to have a custom engagement ring setting made. We planned to spend in excess of $10,000 on the engagement ring as well as buy wedding bands. We liked the idea of shopping âlocalâ and dealing with a family business. When we first met with Robin, she made us feel confident that this was something they could easily do. We returned with pictures of ideas of what we wanted. After weeks of waiting to see what they came up with we reached out to the shop to be told that they didnât have anything yet, that they were having trouble with a wax design or something like that. When Robin did finally make contact to email a picture of the design it was no more than a computer-generated image of one of the pictures we had given them. They literally gave us back a picture of what we had pulled off the web and could have purchased on our own. We met with Robin again with more pictures narrowing down exactly what we wanted. She brought out Mike, the owner to take a look at them and after 30 seconds, he said he had it and it would be easy. We were told that we have something to see in five days. Five days and more than another week came and went and we felt we had given them enough time so we reached out to Robin again. We called twice each time being told that she was busy and would return our call. When she finally did, she told us that she had a CAD design for us to see. She let us know that if we wanted to see it before they closed (which was in two hours) and before she was out of the store for three days, that we should come right over. In great anticipation, we dropped everything, including having to leave work early to rush over. When we arrived, she directed us to Mike. At that exact moment another employee brought him his toddler who had just drawn on her face with red permanent marker. While disciplining her, asked the other employee if he wanted to deal with the child or help us. This woman knew nothing of why we were there so she took his daughter. At being taken from her father, she broke into a tantrum. Clearly flustered, Mike started poking through the original pictures we sent pointing to the one they made a copy of and asked if that was the one. Well of course it wasnât and we explained we had given them other pictures â which he should have known because he had seen them. Neither he nor Robin knew where they were. Yet there we were to supposedly see a CAD design of them. Robin then stated that she thought we were there to look at a diamond despite just telling us to come to see a CAD design. We left the store, angry, disappointed, heartbroken and back at square one, almost two months after starting the process with them. That evening, we went to Diamonds Direct where we were met with professionalism, patience, knowledge, quality and good pricing. While we were there, our wishes were sent to the design team and were told we would have results...
Read moreKingsley Jewelry is the only place to go to for your jewelry or watch needs. Not only will you get the best pricing in town for absolutely some of the best quality of metals & stone, but they will make sure you get the service & product you deserve. Beyond rings, they have a great selection of watches, earrings, necklaces, pearls, and accessories you could imagine. I've bought, with confidence, both my Citizen watches. I've had my wedding band purchased there & custom made my wife's wedding ring that initially was an engagement ring before we decided on some slightly alterations to better fit her hand. My ring was also a steal as well and got a quality amount of gold w/white gold that also had traditional Irish wedding weaves for its symbolic bond. All & everything that I have bought from Kingsley Jewelry has been outstandingly priced. Like there's not a store around that you could go to to find better priced quality jewelry. You can even bring in raw metal & they will handcraft you anything you want. You got some gold that you want to make into a Cuban Chain...say less; they are that good. Mike had been doing this line of business for so long & anyone that walks in will see & understand what I mean by that. He has a degree in gemology & his knowledge, specifically when it comes to stone quality, stone selection & jewelry professionalism, is unparalleled to anyone else that I have come me across. Licensed & certified GIA store too. So everything stone you get is authentic & certified for quality. You can even get lab-created stones too for a lesser price than natural stones.
Overall, stop in to Kingsley Jewelry. See what they can offer & check out their variety of watches. They even got Rolex watches on hand too. Even a great selection of Citizen & Seiko watches. ...oh...and Diamonds for days. Emeralds too. You won't be...
Read moreI was a repeat customer of Kingsley Jewlers multiple times, including purchases, trades, and custom designs. I had a custom wedding ring made to match an heirloom engagement ring. It came out great! After some wear I elected to have them soldered together and that is where my issues began. I don't wear this ring often and when I did I noticed dark tarnish the shank. I took it in, they polished and plated it again. Great! Fixed. Wrong. The tarnish came back. I went back again and was told it was something I was doing, like exposure to a chemical or lotion or poor storage. That didn't sit well with me so I elected to not have them repair the ring again. This was a few years ago. I've since moved and found a new jeweler specializing in antique rings and restorations. Today I had the ring evaluated and I was told that yellow gold solder was used on my white gold rings. The only way to repair is to take the rings apart, remove the old solder, repair the shanks, resolder the set and replate the whole thing. To the tune of $700. This is a totally avoidable cost if the correct solder would have been used in the first place. I'm giving 2 stars because I did get good service and the original custom design was well done. I would not recommend Kingsley Jewelry for repair or handling of heirloom...
