I recently had the pleasure of visiting Deseret Book Store in Orem, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff, who were all incredibly knowledgeable about the products they carried.
The store had a vast array of inventory, ranging from books, music, home decor, art, and other inspirational materials. I particularly enjoyed browsing through the selection of books. From religious to secular, fiction to non-fiction, the store had something for everyone.
The staff was very helpful in assisting me in finding the perfect item for my needs. They were very knowledgeable about the products and were able to give me great recommendations based on my interests.
I was particularly impressed by the children's section, which had a wide variety of books that were both engaging and educational. I purchased several books for my children, and they have been loving them ever since.
One thing I would like to see more of is materials in Spanish. As a Spanish speaker, I was pleased to find a few Spanish-language books, but I would love to see more variety in this area. I hope that Deseret Book Store can expand its selection to better serve the Spanish-speaking community.
In conclusion, Deseret Book Store in Orem is a fantastic store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff and a vast selection of high-quality, faith-based materials. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a great...

UPDATE 15 mins later.
I Was reading through the reviews and saw a couple I need to comment/clarify.
Lack of inventory. The garments are sourced in 5 countries world-wide. COVID shut down factories, inventory suffered. Foreign governments control their employees' abilities to work and it has taken a toll. Try the BYU store distribution center in the basement. As they serve the MTC, they get priority on inventory. 2 x week they are restocked.
Someone appears annoyed that a "store" would look like the Temple entrance... Here's one for you... All Church Distribution Centers are "extensions" of the Temple. It left a "bad taste in his/her mouth". Says a lot about that person.
Handicap spaces had snow/ice in them. The church does own Desert Book, does not own every building a store is leased in. Call the owner of the building or... Guess you could complain to all the shops in that shopping strip and tell them to call. That'd work.
My point with my comments is simple...you should ask before throwing out comments that just show a lack of education on a subject. ...
Read moreFrustrated with a store policy that wouldn’t allow the employees to inscribe some scriptures that I bought from the Churches online store. They said that they wouldn’t touch them because they don’t sell this exact model any longer. They use to sell it, but not anymore. They stated that if an item isn’t stocked in their store they won’t inscribe it because if they screw it up they can’t replace it. I was trying to get these done for a child leaving on a church mission and shared that I wasn’t worried if they screwed it up and I’d sign a release or waiver. It looked almost exactly like a quadruple combination set that they were working on at that very moment. They wouldn’t help me. I’m frustrated that a store policy like this prevents them from providing service to customers. If they have to have a policy because they make too many mistakes with inscribing, they should better train their staff so that they can take care of simple...
