Jurassic Tacos…Eat or Pass? EAT! Follow us on Instagram @fivestarfoodreview Overall Rating: 3.75/5 Price: $ (just over $10 with tax for this combo meal!) Pictured: #2 Combo (3 Street Tacos, Chips, and a Drink.) Two Carne Asada Street Tacos: Taste: 4.5/5 Spiciness Level w/out salsa: 0/5 Cleanliness/Eatability: 1/5 (They’re tacos, after all!) Al Pastor Street Taco: Flavor: 1.5/5 Spiciness Level w/out salsa: 0/5 Cleanliness/Eatability: 1/5 Mild Salsa: 3.5/5 Spiciness Level: 0/5 Medium Salsa: 4/5 Spiciness Level: 2/5 Hot Salsa: 2/5 Spiciness Level: 4/5 The Carne Asada tacos are delicious! The meat is well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and tender. One of our favorite Carne Asada Tacos! The Al Pastor taco was a totally new flavor experience. The pork is crispy, but not heavily seasoned. The pineapple adds a nice flavor, but overall, it was not our favorite dish. Each salsa is worth a try! The mild salsa is a sweet tomatillo ranch. It is fresh, light, and tasty! The medium salsa is a traditional green chili salsa, but it packs a punch! Not too sweet and not too spicy, it has plenty of flavor. The spicy salsa is just that- SPICY. It has a great flavor, but beware the extra spicy after taste!

It's like summer luvin in the middle of winter. I had a good experience with their food truck one summer, so I decided to give the new brick & mortar a shot. This is my favorite genre of grub. I will state that right off that this place has great flavors! I had a carne asada burrito and street tacos. The meat is grilled to produce that hearty flavor. But it's not dried out. In fact, one of the best things about this place is that there is moisturous flavors throughout everything. There is a salsa bar with all kinds of 'fixins', including very good salsas, carrots, peppers, cilantro, cucumbers, and various other veggies. You can load those streeters up however you wish and it will taste great. Keep in mind that this is not cheapy lunch food. You will pay a bit more for these kinds of quality flavor profiles, but it's one of the best street tacos I have had to date. I will be back to try more fare, because the flavors are already haunting me and I will need to take care of that cravin'. Finally, it was a pleasant experience overall. The staff was friendly and the orders came out quickly.

My friend insisted we take advantage of Taco Tuesday and since I had never been I wanted to give this place a shot. The Street tacos are $3 a pop, and if you want Carne Asada for your meat it's an extra 50 cents per taco. Ok, I can do that, but honestly not that great of a "special". After my visit I looked at my email receipt and it lists a 3% CC convenience fee. I didn't notice any signs that indicated such (but even if there was, who actually reads it?), nor did the cashier make any mention. As for the food, my carne asada was really tough and not that flavorful. I'm pretty sure the corn tortillas came straight out of the bag and weren't warmed or cooked in any way. Extremely disappointing. On the other hand the salsa bar had a wide variety and was pretty darn good so I just smothered the food in that, but for salsas I could only use the hot one because the mild one was out and it was near closing time. I'd love to give this place one more try, but honestly I don't have any high hopes.

Too bad zero stars isn’t an option. We’ve been to other locations and have loved the food and the service. We recently moved to Orem and placed an order for pick up to try this location. I arrived two minutes before my pick up time so I could go in and get some stuff at the salsa bar , when I went in I was surprised to see an employee playing on his cell phone, blocking the entire salsa bar. He never looked up at any point. I waited about three minutes before either of the young girls behind the counter even acknowledged me then acting annoyed, came to the register. I told them I had a pick up order. The girl looked me up and down gave me several dirty looks and then simply said “it’s not ready”. I said OK and just hung out in the dining room and then proceeded to watch the two employees that we’re supposed to be cooking food make themselves a plate of food and get out their cell phones and head to the back which is still in public view, all while I was waiting for my food. They were laughing and joking, and had no intention of doing their job. I ended up just leaving the store and walking out, never heard anything on my pick up order. What a horrible way to run a business with horrible employees. Update almost 2 weeks later they still have not credited my card back for the order that I never received because of their lousy employees, so now I have to start the process of disputing it with my credit card company …completely unacceptable when the owner replied on my review, I thought that they might save me the hassle, but I...

Okay so, I've been seeing lots of posts on social media about Jurassic Tacos. So when we drove past tonight, while looking for dinner options, I was excited to give this a try. We've never eaten here and I really didn't know anything about the food. So we walked up to the counter and eventually the employee walked over and greeted us. I explained we'd never been there and asked what he recommended. He pointed to a couple things on the menu and wasn't very helpful. We ended up picking our items and finding a spot on a side bar area to sit. It was pretty cramped and uncomfortable for our family of 5. They didn't have any high chairs or boosters for my toddler. Anyhow. When our food came out we didn't think there was space for us to eat so we just took our food with us. When we started eating we had some good things to say about Jurassic Tacos. The portion sizes are huge and the flavor of the meat was pretty good. However, everything seemed pretty bland. Most of the way through our meal it dawned on me, there was a toppings bar along the far wall we'd totally missed. Which probably explained the boring bland nature of our Tacos. In the end, I think the service was so poor and they didn't introduce us to the food or remind us about the toppings bar. I did mention it was our first time. We're willing to try Jurassic Tacos again, but won't be back to this location. Especially since there really wasn't room for our family to...

If the cheese wasn't so darn good, I would stop coming. The food is great, but the consistency is terrible. I order the same thing every time (cheese quesadilla), and I literally have never gotten the same thing twice. Sometimes it's a whole quesadilla, sometimes it's a half. Sometimes there's cheese on top, sometimes there's not. Sometimes it comes with a side of chips, sometimes the chips are in a little plate, sometimes they're dumped on top of the quesadilla and get soggy. Half the time there's no chips at all. Sometimes it comes with side of rice and beans, sometimes nothing. Sometimes they dump a pile of pickled onions on top of the quesadilla, which I don't like. Sometimes the hot sauce is good, sometimes they use a totally different recipe and it's not very good. I would just like to know what I'm getting when I order a simple cheese quesadilla. They also raised the prices on everything by a few dollars recently and they call everything a "meal" now. The only difference is now you sometimes get white rice and black beans with your order. As far as I can tell, they won't let you buy just a taco now, it has to be the meal. I've never seen a place do it like that. The biggest problem is the inconsistent sizes. Paying $9 to get half a quesadilla when you're expecting to get a full one will really irritate some people. So if you're very hungry, I would recommend maybe going...
