To be honest, this souvenir shop actually surprised me a lot. As I Harry Potter fan, I was planning to buy all my stuff at the Wizarding World, but man, there was so much stuff in this shop! A LOT of the items found in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley can be found at this souvenir shop. The others can probably be found in the souvenir shop of Universal Studios Florida. There a lot of themed stuff so if you missed anything while in the parks or changed your mind when leaving, this shop will absolutely SAVE you. It is huge and you should definitely check it out. The cash register is outside though, which is kinda weird if you ask me. For Harry Potter fans like me: know that the HP section is HUGE, I am pretty sure that is it their biggest section. There are scarves, robes, mugs, pins, plushies, candies, wands, replicas and way more! Honestly, most of the stuff that is sold in the parks. There was even a discount (on the scarves I believe? Or something like that) which was not in the parks at the time I went, so it is definitely worth checking for discounts too. Other than that, the prices are the same as in the parks. Anyways, I...
Read moreThe big kahuna gift shop of Islands of Adventure! This baby is located right by the entrance/ exit of the park, and it’s got all you could want and more (for the most part). Both theme parks have a huge self named gift shop right at the front, and if you hadn’t already guessed, this is Islands of Adventure’s guy.
I think the premise is really cute. The front of Islands of Adventure is the “port of entry”/ Arabian themed part, and this gift shop plays right into that by being called a “trading company”. The subtle foundations and complimenting details throughout the inside really give life to the idea.
Not to mention how much stuff they have here. Like I said, it’s the big store of IoA so it’s stocked and loaded. Unfortunately averse to the name, you cannot trade your own belongings for other things here.. (how awesome would that be though? I’ll take a hat in exchange for this fannypack, bahah). Nevertheless, you can definitely spend a good chunk of time shopping and even more money a’ spending at this ye’ old Islands of...
Read moreLine for food everywhere was crazy. I expect to stand in line for rides but not in line for 30-45 to just order burgers and chicken fingers. One place we stood in line 45 min to get a table for lunch. I might expect that for dinner but not lunch. Then had to order using a mobile app, which did not have all the food on the menu. Once they brought us our food I asked about kids meals. Had to then follow the lady up to the cash register and she took my kids order. It was so unorganized and nonfunctional. Also been there for two days and could never get 5 virtual tickets for the 2 rides that require them. Only one at a time would pop up. Our group had 5 people. How does that work? Would rather just stand in line for the ride. Not having as good of a time as we have in the past. A little...
