We stayed at the hotel 12 days. I have not been able to get a digital key on my phone. I have been promised it would be fixed and never has been. I had a silverfish bug crawl across my bed. There was music outside through the night that could be heard through the windows in the room. If you want yogurt or muffins each morning for breakfast, you will not. If you want to be able to have a beef taco for breakfast, those are always available. Or dishwasher does not run properly. When putting in the soap, there is still the powder in the bottom of the dishwasher. When calling to the front desk to get toiletries, no one answers. We tried several times, no answer. I go down stairs, and there are three people at the front desk grabbing away. My wife and daughter were at the hotel when the fire alarm goes off. My wife grabbed my daughter’s medical device and walked down five flights of stairs with my son and visually impaired daughter. When they were about to walk outside, the front desk said that it was just a test and they could go back upstairs. We had a long day at Universal with a huge cloud burst of rain. We got back to the hotel at 7:02pm. We were hoping to not get a drink but to snag a salad from the Wednesday evening reception. We were told we were too late without any compassion. All while we get in the elevator with a couple people with heaping plates full of salad, cheese, meats, and cookies headed to their rooms. I got stuck in the elevator last night with my son. We rang the bell several times, no answer. We call through the elevator call system, no answer. We go down five flights of stairs when the door finally opens to notify the front desk attendant. The front desk attendant said we just got a call about the elevator. Again, no compassion, no apologies. Lastly, we went to go to the pool. There is a lock to the outer door for everyone’s safety to go through. I noticed that someone had purposely propped the door open by activating the lock on the door to sit on the outside, so it would be prepped open to enter the hotel without a key card. I fixed the door, so that the hotel door would be locked. I told the front desk attendant and was told thank you for doing it, but she said that this happens all the time on several doors. It did not give me any comfort with my family’s security. Lastly , the windows are latch windows that do not have screens in them. My daughter was able to open the fifth floor windows to wave outside my son and I at the pool. If you have little children, you may want to ask for a first floor room. The other floors could be very dangerous to children possibly falling out the window.
The upside is that you are close to Universal Studios. That said, there are many other options that are close to the park. We spent a lot of money to be close to the park, but we will not stay at this...
