Today I went to Macys located inside the Mall at Millenia. I went and bought some Christmas decorations and at the checkout time Juan Carlos helped me and he had the best customer service that anyone can imagine. He is friendly and helped me to make sure I was good to carry the bags without any issues (he actually deserve a 5 stars review). However, after finishing the interaction with him, I went to the shoes department; which was the actual reason I went to the store in the first place. Because of what happened at the shoes department is what I am giving three stars to this review instead of five stars. I was trying to get attention from any of the people working on that department and I was completely ignored. After 5 minutes, I approached this lady her name was either Mina or Nina; can’t fully remember, but it was along those letters. I asked if she can helped me. She looked me with an irritated face, but asked me if someone was helping me; and I said I was trying to get someone to help me without success. I showed her a pair of sandals but I was looking for the lighter color in every single Macy’s possible that I can go to including online. I mentioned that I was going to take those but I was looking for more close to a color that other sandals from the same brand had. This lady said to me with attitude “you made me waste my time scanning this shoes and the other ones you can look for them yourself plus the price is different.” Still politely I told her that I didn’t care about the price just the color. Still with an attitude, she told me that if it is not there is not there and I asked her if there was no more inventory in the back. She said no without even looking. I started to think for a second if I really wanted to go with the darker color and this lady raise her voice and asked for my name to order me the darker color. That really bothered me and I told her I didn’t need to spend $100 with attitude and I decided to walk away. She started following me and said that she was trying to help me that I was just being difficult because she just wanted to make sure I was okay with the price. I told her that I just needed help not attitude and I didn’t ask her to care about my finances; I just wanted the sandals without the attitude that they were coming with it. I left the store very irritated. I always tried to be nice to people who work in stores since I worked in a store myself when I was in college, and I know people are difficult sometimes, but I don’t need to be questioned about what I am going to buy with my money. They don't have a very good selection and I'm always into looking for a new bag, but their purse section isn't quite up to parrelel like some of their stores(thays not to say I haven't found amazing bags there or put of thos world deals, but it's just not as great as some of the other locations). The makeup section is nice, clean, and adequate, however, none of the clothing departments are very likeable. They're just.cold and kind of empty. Macy's used to be higher scale, but are kind of getting lower budget. ..and I don't mean because they have good deals a lot either(because they do). They need to organize and be professional amd not look like a discount or throttling store. I love Ross , and Bealls Outlet, but If I wanted to shop there this day, I would have gone... amd still.found bomb stuff.too! Macy's, do better. There's also hardly anyone working in any of their stores, from Orlando, to West Melbourne, to Miami, to Tampa...Every Macy's in My state seems to be bare bones-ing their poor.employees... no wonder the stuff is in disarray on the hangers and in displays. I used to covet Macy's , it was beautiful, amd luxurious..and u felt as such shopping there...but hasn't been that way in yrs., and it doesn't seem like they're even TRYING TO CARE anymore. So , I say...YES, YES , YES, FOR getting great deals, by digging thru tons of products(purses,jewelry, clothes), A big Yes for bathing suits, and a VERY BIG YES for Prom dresses ,gowns, or party dresses. Basically Macy's best sellers now , or best go-tos for you, are: if you need makeup/perfume, if you need a smart or snazzy outfit to be super dressy(gorgeous ensembles and dresses),& watches. They have unimaginably great deals on watches, and many times cased jewelry...def.a watch store though. Those 3-4 main items are your go-tos for getting great stuff at this store....
Read moreMy visit started with the worse experience I had ever been through at a retail store. I had already started shopping in-store at Macy’s when I realized that my credit card was expired. I was told by the online customer service team that it would be okay to purchase my items and return and repurchase them once I receive my updated credit card as the mistake occurred on their end. When I went to the store a few days later to start the return-repurchase process, I was turned down by the manager named Joe. Joe clearly did not want to help probably because it was “too much work” or “clearly an inconvenience” for him. He was very uncooperative and lacks tact and customer service skills especially for a manager. To provide an example of his pettiness, one of my items had a price change of less than $2 and he refused to price match the original amount I had paid and was going to charge me $2 more. Angered I left the store and went outside to cool down. I came back around 30 minutes later and again tried to explain my circumstances to customer service. It was then that Antwaniese and Carlos came to save the day. Antwaniese did everything she could to help me. She processed my returns and repurchase one by one and I even ended up saving some extra cash in the process! She should be the manager instead of Joe! As for Carlos (the new/current manager on duty) when I explained what Joe did to me earlier and how upset and disappointed I was considering that this Macy’s store has been my favorite for 8 years and I had been a platinum member for 4 years, he turned my day around and offered me premium customer satisfaction.
