I am a big fan of Helzberg Diamonds, I have maybe 10-15 pieces from them. They have a great return policy for the first 30 days and warranty covering your jewelry. My issue was with this particular store. I order my wifeâs Christmas present on Dec 19th and received notice I could pick it up on the 20th. I drove 45 minutes to the Oak Park Mall to pick up my item with two kids where I was greeted by Erin (one of the managers). After a quick search she found my item in the case but proceeded to tell me that she could not give it to me because they were doing a promotional event. I let her know how far I had driven and how it was just right there but she said I could either come back on Saturday (which is when our family Christmas was) or they could overnight it to me on Monday and I would receive it on Tuesday. I told her I needed it Saturday and said if I couldnât make it in Saturday please ship it Monday. Saturday after our Christmas, I called Erin and asked her if the item was available for pickup before I drove another 45 minutes out to her. She confirmed that she had it and had set it aside for me. When I arrived, she couldnât find it, and it had been sent out by another manager that morning in the mail. Monday morning I called for a shipping ID and saw it had been delivered right back to the sender (helzberg). When I spoke to Erin on the phone, this was when she told me they would send it correctly this time, admitted it was her teams fault and said they would send me a second piece of jewelry that I could give to my wife for Valentineâs Day. The package arrived Tuesday with the surprise being pretty much ruined because my wife saw me leaving for oak park and taking multiple phone calls to sort it. After Christmas I spoke to Erin to get tracking ID for my second item she promised to send me, and she took my cell phone number and said she would call me when she sent it out. When I called to check up four days later, she had gone on vacation without sending my item or leaving instructions for her team to do so. Iâm disappointed at the lack of follow through and customer care that I have come to expect of Helzberg. When you promise a customer something to make up for your mistake you should follow through, even if itâs a gift card, refund cost of original item or second item as promised. Everyone has been very nice every time I took it to get it cleaned or inspected throughout the years. Sadly, I lost my rings three months ago. I decided it was time to replace them. At first I went to a big store at the mall to get a more 'affordable' ring and the experience was not good. Very disappointed, I headed to Helzberg certain I wouldn't find anything within my budget. Even though I went a little over budget, I got myself a GORGEOUS set of rings. I really appreciate Suzannah, Song and Seth. I worked for the most part with Suzannah initially: she was SO sweet. She looked and looked with me, showed me different options. She didn't rush me, didn't pressure me at all, treated me as the customer with the biggest budget (when I really wasn't). I also had to work with Song and Seth and they were SO helpful as well. Seth and Song worked there 10 years ago when I bought my original rings - how incredible is that?! Once you choose your rings everything is super fast, check out, applying for a card, etc. Also at this store they have pre-owned (which you can't really find online) and a nice clearance selection. I recommend getting the lifetime plan for sure. I also sincerely appreciate Helzberg's military discount. I would recommend Helzberg and this particular store to anyone - 100%. You guys are AWESOME!

   Read moreMy boyfriend and I ended up at Helzberg to look around after we had a bad experience at another jewelry store at the mall. This was my 1st time shopping around for an engagement ring and after that experience, I was very discouraged (as it didnât live up to what I always thought it would feel like). In comes Eva Talavera! She was amazing right from the start! She was very knowledgeable, considerate and went above and beyond what most people would do for their customers! Unlike the prior experience, she listened to what I truly wanted and made it happen! Halfway through her showing me all of the rings she thought fit my description of what I wanted, she noticed I kept going back to a certain ring. She knew this was the one (even though I wasnât quite there yet)! She mentioned that I kept putting this ring back on and suggested she have it specially made to fit exactly what I wanted. I was so filled with emotion that I instantly started crying, my boyfriend proceeded to cry and she teared up as well! We all knew it was the one and purchased it right then! I am so very appreciative of all of the thoughtful detail she put into her interaction with us! Although it may just be another day of helping a customer find a ring (especially to someone who has done it for 25 years), she never once made it feel that way!
