As other reviewers have stated, the customer service in store while you are ordering is exceptional, it's everything that happens after placing an order that is an issue.
I placed an order for a sectional and a chaise lounge from A Royal Suite in Oxnard on May 28, 2022. I was quoted a lead time of 8-10 weeks. I called at the 8, 10, and 14 week marks and was told my order wasn't ready and to wait for them to give me a call. At the 15 week mark, I received a voicemail that the sectional was ready for delivery but that there was an issue with the availability of the fabric for the chaise lounge and I could either select a new fabric or choose to get a refund and not receive the chaise lounge. That didn't make sense since I had ordered the same fabric on the sectional and the chaise lounge, but I had already waited almost 4 months and didn't want to keep waiting for them to start the process again, so I called in to say to cancel the order for the chaise lounge. When I called back, they said there was a mix-up and they can make the chaise lounge, so I can't request to cancel that part of the order.
After a 16 week wait, the sectional was finally delivered today on September 18, 2022. Unfortunately, it has several quality issues as you can see in the attached images and video.
Issue #1: Four of the legs of the sectional do not touch the floor, despite the delivery team's best effort to rectify this. Issue #2: The couch is extremely rickety and unstable, as shown in the video, likely as a result of issue #1. It's not safe to sit on it. Issue #3: There are quality issues with the sewing and fabric including (a) an unfinished seam where there is a hole at the edge of the arm of the sectional, (b) seams where fibers of the stuffing are coming out the side, and (c) areas where the fabric seems damaged like it was scraped against something and the nap of the fabric has been partially removed.
This is unacceptable for any brand new piece of furniture. This sectional is unusable in its current condition. I am extremely dissatisfied with this purchase. The sales staff is friendly and will not shadow you like other furniture stores. You are left alone to decide and discuss your purchases, not by asking to left alone, but the sales person initiated that because they sense your feelings because they have experience. You are offered refreshments and made to feel that your shopping experience is not only relaxing but important to not be stressful one. The furniture selection is more than adequate and the quality is excellent. The pricing is more than fair and you can purchase items from the floor inventory. Custom order times are reasonable too. We have been to the store 3 times in 3 weeks. We bought a platform bed unit that has 6 drawers and is a beautiful combination of wood colors. The manufacturer is Whittier wood, (Made in the U.S.A.) The quality is as nice as Amish furniture. The mattress is made by Diamond, based in Los Angeles. This is our second Diamond mattress and our first one is in our guest bedroom. Every guest has said that is one of the most comfortable beds they have ever slept on. Our new Cal King is a cool top. We are sleeping excellent once again. We also bought 2 chest of drawers. Delivery is fast, in and out, and very professional. Excellent communication by everyone all the time. These purchases might not have happened at another store but when Izzy helped us out and made us feel comfortable and assisted us as needed, we made correct decisions that will last a long time. In 2021 we bought a sectional from the store in Santa Clarita and had it delivered to our new home in Ventura County. We loved the sectional, but after about a year, we had a small problem with one of the pieces. Since we had bought the extended warranty, we were told to contact the warranty company directly. They sent someone out to fix the problem, but unfortunately after several months, the problem recurred. From that moment on, our experience with the warranty company was a complete nightmare that went on for months! We stopped in to the Oxnard showroom, which is near where we had moved, and spoke to Amir Latifi (who had actually sold us our sectional in Santa Clarita). He immediately gave us the email address for A Royal Suite's corporate office and encouraged us to let them know exactly what we had been going through. I emailed them on Friday afternoon, and first thing Monday morning we got a phone call from Chris Isham, the Operations Manager for A Royal Suite. Chris apologized for our poor treatment and immediately reached out to the warranty company and arranged for us to have our entire sectional replaced! Our original sectional had been discontinued, so we went to the showroom and chose a different sectional...at no charge whatsoever. Within 2 weeks of my original email, our beautiful, new replacement sectional was sitting in our family room.
