FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!We started using this company because we needed to start infusions for an autoimmune disease and the infusion center is too far away. The Dr set us up with mission and they sent out a nurse to do the infusion. The 1st RN was nice, She arrived late, and what should have been a 30 minute process turned into an all day issue, and we had to cancel an important appointment. The RN could not start the IV and had to call another RN. The following visit was more pleasant. The RN was great, this visit went smoothly. The 3rd visit is when we realized that the 1st RN had dosed the medication wrong, and the second RN didnt check the dosage the second time, so she also dosed the medication wrong!! So my client had to start her treatments all over again. Mission ended up eating that cost because they screwed so bad. The RN that we got after that was great. She was always pleasant and made sure to check everything before administering. We ran into scheduling issues. The RNs were calling the night before to set up the apts, then I didn't hear anything. So, I had to call, the office told me they would call me back, then I got a call from the RN telling me that she had just gotten a call telling her that my client was on her schedule for that day. So, if I had not called, they would not have known that they forgot her! We then ran into an issue with our catheter supplies. The company we were getting it from could not longer supply to us due to insurance billing issues, so mission had to start supplying us. I started asking them in Oct for the supplies and they sent me the wrong ones. I called and was promised Macy would call me back (I guess she handles that stuff). Guess who never call me? So I reached out to the RN and let her know that we got the wrong supplies and needed the right ones ordered. She passed the info along on Nov 12th, then I heard nothing. Fast forward to Nov 20th, I get a call from a different RN, telling me she was coming that day for the infusion. That type of scheduling is so inconsiderate to the patient! When the RN got here she did a great job with the infusion. I asked her about the catheter supplies and she hoped on the phone to try to get it sorted out. She was told to talk to Macy, but Macy was in a meeting. The RN PROMISED that Macy would either call her, or me, by the end of the day. Guess who did not call me back?..so after another week or 2 I called again, the lady who i spoke with told me that I would need to talk to Macy, she was just wrapping up and she would call me back. I told her "that's funny, because Macy was supposed to call me several times and i have yet to speak to her". And she proceeded to PROMISE that Macy would call me. Guess who still has not called me back as of Dec 26th!? Macy.. So, today, i called to see why an RN has not called to do my clients infusions for this month and they tell me that she is not on the schedule..i end up speaking with Gail Hollis, the branch director, who, to my surprise, tells me that they've discharged my client!! I ask why, she said "because you were unhappy and the catheter supplies". So, instead of fixing the issue, they chose to just not provide care to a patient. She claimed that the last RN that visited in Nov had discharged her, which is untrue! She said she spoke with the pharmacy and Dr and they were supposed to set us up with another company. Meanwhile we have not been notified by ANYONE, and the pharmacy had delivered her infusion meds last week! So, now my client is left without her meds or catheter supplies all because this company cannot get it together. I cannot speak for their other services, but I would not recommend anyone I care for to use mission healthcare based on what we've been through over the past few months. And the reasoning for my clients discharge that Gail gave me is...
Read moreFrom the bottom of my heart, I want to thanks Mission Healthcare and their team for taking care of my grandmother and getting her strength back. Nurse Dawn Ybanez, physical therapists Mike Scarber and Big Jeff did a great job working with her and also showed a ton of patience explaining everything to her so that she better understands what she is doing and why is doing it. I couldn't have asked for a better team of professionals to help my grandmother. It gave me peace of mind knowing that she was in the best of hands. When she first started seeing the team and doing physical therapy, she was really weak and could barely walk with a walker. She has a chronic kidney disease and was having trouble with taking her medications regularly and was not doing very well health wise. After several weeks of working with Mission and their team, she is now walking upright with her walker and is taking her medications regularly and willingly because they took the time and explained to her what she is taking and why she is taking it. Again, I want to thank Mission and their wonderful team of angels for the love and care that they showed my grandmother. I would highly recommend you using Mission and their team of knowledgeable...
Read moreMission Healthcare home hospice and palliative care made my mom's recent passing (Feb 2020) beautiful. She was 86 and fun and amazing, and within a week, she was given a stage IV diagnosis of urogenital cancers. Mom was on home palliative care for 9 days and her care team was compassionate, empathetic, intuitive, honest, funny, encouraging, loving, and inspired me to be my best self in those gut wrenching days. It is a terrible thing to witness your mother (and bestie) die in front of you, and then have to shelter in place in the same place she died (Covid started full force a few weeks later), but because of the amazing care my mom received from EVERYONE on Mission's team, the #1 cause of death was respiratory failure of a few minutes, which means that she gently took her last breath. It was beautiful. She had every type of service, too, from bathing to changing to nursing, counseling, a doctor and a chaplin even came by twice. I...
