I truly appreciate all of the phenomenal staff who went above and beyond to make me happy during my stay. My visit started off on a rocky note when my employer failed to send a credit card authorization form to the correct hotel. Thankfully, the staff worked hard the following day to resolve the issue and even followed up by phone to ensure everything was taken care of. I am especially grateful to Destiny, Yomayra, Leslie, Maria, Yasmin and Laura in the kitchen, and Joel in maintenance—all of whom went out of their way to help me.
One highlight I absolutely loved was that the hotel has Tesla chargers available everywhere. This is perfect for me in my home healthcare job, since my patients depend on me being able to reliably get to them.
Unfortunately, despite the excellent staff, multiple negatives made my stay much less enjoyable and ultimately led me to significantly shorten my stay and move to a different hotel. These included: • A supervisor unwilling to let me store two large watermelons in another fridge when mine was full. That flexibility would have been very helpful. • The purified water in the gym and at breakfast tasted thick, unpleasant, and at times undrinkable. It was so concerning that I limited how much I drank during my stay. • Limited and disappointing fruit selection at breakfast—only bananas and green apples. The green apples were consistently mushy despite my feedback. • No vegetables available at breakfast, which would have been a welcome and healthy option. • No hot tub, which would have been wonderful for relaxation after long workdays. • Printer supplies felt rationed; paper was scarce, and the toner was out for several days. Very inconvenient for business travelers. • Difficulty connecting my Roku device and, more importantly, the inability to stream Disney, Hulu, or HBO on the in-room TV. • As a Titanium member, I was hoping for a complimentary suite upgrade, but unfortunately, this was not available. • My body consistently woke me around 7 AM due to traffic noise from the road-facing side of the hotel.
Overall, while I remain grateful for the kindness and effort of the staff, the above issues were significant enough that I chose to leave early and continue my stay elsewhere.
What makes this experience even more disappointing is the cost: 11 nights came to $4,500. For such a steep price—especially at a hotel that is recently brand new—I expected far higher standards. Instead, what I received was service and amenities that fell far short...
Read moreI probably don’t need to comment on cleanliness very much since this hotel is so new that it still has the wood smell from all the new cabinets and furniture. Everything from the floors to the carpets and walls is immaculately clean, and looks like it could be a showroom. I’m sure the new hotel smell will fade as time goes on, but the aesthetics are tasteful and the interiors are spotless. Call me a simpleton but there’s something very exclusive about being in a new building.
I stayed one night in a one bedroom suite, the overall size was slightly smaller than a Residence Inn but still felt like enough for me, my wife and our 6-month old. The kitchenette has a microwave, an induction stove, and an electric oven. My favorite thing about the room was the felt pads added to the door jams that made closing the interior doors easy and super quiet (except for the main door)
The location is incredible, as it’s right next to the Oxnard mall which has every store imaginable, and right off the 101 freeway. There also a handful of fast food places less than 100ft away and are open late.
But since this hotel is new, they still have a few more things to take care of: Electric car charging is not working yet. There’s a decent amount of chargers in the front but they are currently locked behind a security device and are unable to charge any car. Bummer, but I imagine they’re working as fast as they can to get those up and running. 2.Laundry facilities are still being setup, so don’t expect to wash or dry anything until they finish installing the payment systems. (Hopefully they allow tap pay because who carries quarters in 2025?) No onsite restaurant, though they do have breakfast most days (dry scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and waffles, along with cereal, fruit, and bagels. The normal Marriott breakfast). I saw they are applying for a liquor license so that should be good once it finally gets approved.
All in all, I will definitely stay here again and look forward to the improvements that are...
Read moreI recently stayed at Towneplace Suites at the recommendation by my daughter. It is a very clean property and the staff were very personable and professional.
I loved having the kitchenette; it did come in handy. I loved the complimentary breakfasts! The workout room looked fantastic, I would’ve used it if I had brought my workout clothes.
We were placed in the first floor, in a room close to the entrance. I liked that, until the evenings. I could hear conversations taking place in the staff room next to us. They were rather loud, to the point I could’ve joined in their conversation as I could make out what they were saying. I waited until the quiet hour- 10 pm to see if it would stop. As it didn’t, I went to the front desk today something. That didn’t help. I was hoping it was a fluke, but it went in each night. It was difficult to fall asleep as the conversations were quite loud.
I’d suggest that room not be used for guests, if at all possible.
Otherwise, I did enjoy the property. Also appreciated having the little strip mall “across the street “ to get meals/ dessert from. As well as the full mall nearby.
My daughter lives in Ventura and I plan to visit often. I’d love to stay at your property, just not in...
