Panda Express — Restaurant in Oxnard

Update: we returned to the Oxnard Panda Express during an extremely busy dinner service. The drive thru line was looooong so we went inside. These workers were hustling their booties off! The chef was producing fresh entrees like crazy. The workers were powering thru the drive thru line while assisting those of us in store. Stuart was so polite and greeted those of us in line and assured us we would be attended to soon. He looked super stressed but kept his cool. We really appreciate him. Our to go order was so good. The food was still hot when we got home. The servings were a good size. Thank you Oxnard Blvd Panda. We appreciate you and the hard work you do.

Wow, what a culinary experience…this fine establishment takes you on a gastronomic journey to the Far East. My meal consisted of the classic tried and true Orange Chicken, which was the perfect combination of crispy and sweet. I suspect the chicken is organic and free range based on the delicious taste and impeccable texture. The temperature was just right…not too hot and not too cold. Next, I was greeted by the perfectly cooked chow mein; the noodle dish has a delicate balance of umami and salt flavor. If I was on death row, my last meal would be orange chicken and chow mein from the Panda Express. There are those people who consider TPE to be “low class” and who dismiss this incredible establishment…however I do not consider these people to understand the complex flavor profiles which are found at TPE. I had no idea Panda was open at this location, so I stopped by on my way home, I love Panda. I was expecting a long line, but there were no cars in the DT. I ordered and drove up to the window, I could hear a lot of laughing going on once I pulled up, the girl handed me my food before paying, never looking my way, she literally put the bag out the window as she was laughing with the others about something, I doubt it was about me. I could tell she wasn't paying attention, she then held her hand out to get my payment and I handed her my debit card. The whole time they were having a good time. She did look for a second to make sure I got my card and receipt. I have no idea what was so funny, but they should pay better attention to their customers. The food was only warm, but edible.
