AFRP Treasure Shop — Local services in Pacific Grove

Update: We gave it another go - I think it was over a year ago last time we went here. Anyhow it was a way nicer experience this time. The volunteers were extremely friendly and they had some real nice stuff for sale. We had some nice finds. Glad to see that they've turned it around.

Original review: Been here quite a few times as they support a great cause and I'd love to find something to buy. But the store layout is claustrophobic and prices are sky high. If they had something I really wanted, I might be willing to tolerate this. But the breaking point for me occurred at my last visit. Volunteers were in a side room going through donations and openly talking about what THEY were going to keep! If this is common practice - and it could be as it explains a lot about this place - then why are people donating here? I...

Update: this store moved in August of 2022 and some of the pictures I shared are from the prior location. I just added some pictures of the new locatin. This one of my favorite thrift shops to visit when I am in town. Proceeds from donated items for sale helps volunteers rescue animals. Plus, I always find treasures, which makes it a fun adventure. The volunteers are caring people who stock the store with clothing, shoes, art, housewares, collectibles, jewelry, books, and pet supplies and more.
