Arrived around 6:30pm, came with my sister and her family. No greetings, lack of staff, and postage signage needs improvement. Staff took our order after 10-15 minutes of being seated. We didn't even get waters until about another 10+ minutes to be served water. It took over an hour of waiting to be served food. šŸ™ƒ we ordered 6 rolls and 2 salads. I was aware that they were lacking staff but people who arrived after us received their food before us. The inattentiveness and lack of care and concern from the staff left my family and I baffled, frustrated, and angry. Not only were we starving while waiting for our food, but the staff were busy with their acquaintances who came in and placed orders! The overall atmosphere if the interior was severely lacking, and honestly quite confusing (country music/asian themed wall/ a bar). It is in need of severe change and upgrade with staff and everything else. They gave our party of 8, 3 menus and the online menu i was trying to access didnt even pop up, and its inconsistent with the menu they give in person. The food we were served was mid, and honestly I'm surprised we didn't leave after the hour wait. It's even more annoying considering we had to inquire with the staff about the whereabouts of our food!! Why was a minor telling me that our food would be coming out in a few minutes?????? An hour of waiting, just for us to ask the owners kid who was helping out, to tell us the food would be coming out all together. Only for it to come out slowly in spans of 10+ minutes each? Wasted our time and money. We told the staff we no longer wanted one of our salads because the wait was so damn long. Overpriced, long wait, never coming again. Don't come with your family because they will not be able to serve you within a timely manner. If you have time to spare and are fine with overpriced mid-tier food, this...

The servers were wonderful and I felt awful because I know they were trying their best but it was the most uncomfortable experience… I had a reservation but didn’t get served my 2 roll order until almost 2 hours past my seating time. There was only one person working the sushi bar for the entirety of the restaurant and a literal child was working the host stand and eventually had to start taking orders because the other 2 servers were running around with their heads cut off. It was so disconcerting to watch that poor kid get attitude from annoyed customers because we had all been waiting so long. I watched a few people give up and just leave their tables without their food, while others waiting for their takeout came up and canceled their orders. I was hoping the servers would start to be more upfront with new customers walking in by telling them it would be over an hour wait for their food but they just kept seating and seating without being transparent… It was incredibly awkward to watch the new people slowly and painfully realize there was only one person working the sushi bar. Again, the servers were wonderful, but a little more honesty would have been appreciated and would have probably saved them a lot of grief if they had just explained the situation upfront so people could decide if they wanted to continue waiting instead of just seating everyone who came in. It was so so so uncomfortable to watch people get mad at a LITERAL CHILD who doesn’t and SHOULDN’T know how to work a server job. Unless you can avoid peak dinner times, I would recommend that you go to Zum...

Beautiful local sushi restaurant in the small town of PG. Stopped there for a quick dinner and we left extremely happy and pleased to have a new destination when we are in PG.

For starters, we had the Kona coconut shrimp and Calamari. The shrimp was very crispy and light, and came with mango passion fruit chili dip. The calamari had a crispy panko breading and came with delicious aioli.

For sushi, we shared the Volcano Spider roll, with is soft shell crab tempura with crab meat, so delicious makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The other course we had is the Macadamia crusted Barramundi fillet, comes with succulent lobster sauce and a side of tampura veggies.

They have a nice selection of sake, but we were in the mood for cocktails, so had Mai Tai and Blue Hawaiian. Very generous portion and very tasty.

For dessert, We shared a macadamia banana cream mousse... The best combination of crunchy, creamy and sweet. It was a nice way to end a beautiful meal.

The ambiance is really nice, and they have a really cool long bar with red lighting underneath.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We also I had a chance to meet the owner, we were pleasantly surprised we have been to his other restaurant across the street.

If you're in the mood for a fresh sushi that's well executed, Nura is definitely on the top of my list of places to go in the area.

Unfortunately there is no 6 ⭐, but they...

We came around 4:30 which is early for dinner service, it was nice and not crowded at all. The staff and possibly the owner were very engaging and made sure we had everything we needed. I had asked about the possibility of some changes to an existing roll and they fulfilled my request and the roll was delicious. The menu is the perfect size to make a decision without getting lost in too many roll choices which happens at other places. Food came out timely and was fresh. Gyoza was extra crispy. Sale was good as well. We will come back! In photos & or our order : Custom Tuna Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Beef Gyoza Guava Drink Sake Miso Soup Banana Mouse

Sushi is by far my favorite meal and Nura does it justice. I sat at the bar and had a great experience with the staff as well as the head chef. I ordered maguro and unagi Nigri as well as a seared maguro roll all for myself. Both Nigri pieces were fresh and very well portioned. The seared roll itself was a first for me, however the added heat definitely enhanced a traditionally raw dish and I quite enjoyed it. If you are thinking about going, just go and experience the restaurant, you won't regret it.
