Marked down from a 5 to a 3 This is an update to my originsl review below this new opinion.
I marked it down for the following reasons:
About 20-30% items out of stock ....very very annoying...as I now find this is the norm. I have been shopping there 3-4 times a week.
Not enough employees to keep shelves stocked...The ones there are working very hard, though.
This Aldi has the most customers I have seen at any location and higher income peeps as well. I have shopped Aldi for years.
You would think Aldi would do more to prevent short comings as noted:
Low prices do not make up for wasted time or gas.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Lowest regular prices and good products, mostly from USA. To get that, you must be willing to put up with a few inconveniences like lines at checkout...bringing your own sacks for purchased items or buy 7 cent large paper sacks or slightly more plastic bags...I just use empty boxes from the shelves. The place can be crowded on the weekends and navigating carts can be tight.
People complaining shouldn't shop here. NO, it's not Publix where the shopping experience is hard to beat...BUT, The reduced pricing accounts for reduced service here. Wally World aka Walmart gets the same complaints. Yet, everybody keeps going there.
The few employees on duty are constantly working to restock or maintain the store...so I don't get upset that they may not have time to exchange pleasantries.
This is a German owned company so the net profits are leaving the USA. At least they're not going to...
Read moreI love Aldi's prices. However, my last visit here right before Christmas was not the best. From the rude customers to the non caring cashiers, I was quite disappointed. While I was waiting in line, another cashier called out " I can help whoever is next in line". The woman behind me ran over without asking me if I wanted to go first. The woman ahead of me had something fall off the belt, which I promptly picked up for her and replaced it on the belt. She didn't even thank me. Then, when I finally got to the cashier, she proceeded to throw things in my cart with no regard to what she was throwing. I told her to take it easy and she said "what?" I said take it easy, I don't want things broken. She just said "oh". No apology. As I was packing my bags, I could hear her throwing someone's wine bottles in their cart with no regard to the possibility of breaking them. It's not always like that there, but it seems they can't handle it when it's really busy. They need more cashiers. Update: 5 years later, they seem to be doing better as far as cashiers being nicer. Of course, now there’s a supply chain issue, like everywhere else. Also, prices are not always lower than elsewhere anymore. Update November 2023: Today the whole wall of freezers was out of order. Loaded with food, but taped off to the public. Still finding lots of empty shelf spaces. Aldi is taking over Winn-Dixie next year. That should be interesting. They already got rid of...
Read moreI was so happy when I heard this was coming town . Been going to the Saint Augustine one for a long time now . With that said I want to say is that when a new place opens up it is going to have issues to work out for a good couple of months . Especially the first time opening. I spoke with the Manger at this store he was actually the Manger for the Saint Augustine store he let me know they got some corks that they are still working out , but they are getting there , he also didn't except such a big turn out because a lot of people were trying to keep them from building , so they were doing what most of there stores do but there was such a great turn out they ran out so people that are complaining about this and that give them time before you give a 1 star or a 2 star rating . After coming in every week this was the best day so far since open everything there , we'll stock , even people restocking items quickly . I have high hopes this place will be staying here , please give...
