The cashier, asked me to swipe my food stamp card again, some item came up as not covered by food stamp, told her it's always covered, that she is not doing something right, well she did something and asked to swipe the card again. After I swiped it for the second time, it ended up charging me twice on my card (over $133 each transaction) looked like she didn't know what she was doing... so she realized she had messed up, I couldn't even get the refund, they had to call the owner Liyaqat from some meeting, he comes and tells me he doesn't know what happened and can't give me a receipt for two transactions in error and wanted me to go home without any receipt and said will figure it out later and call me, I told him I am not leaving till I get the receipt and refund for second transaction , (I even ran late for my doc appt and could not go to walmart after this store to shop for more coz they had depleted my account with the second charge!) he got so hot headed picked up the phone and threatened to call 911, I had to calm him down,... without making it longer, I had to go home he calls me a day later saying he sees two transactions now, that he can refund my money, (no sorry or anything!) I told him I cannot travel to the store 40 miles again, told him I already put the dispute with SNAP , it took me over 10 days before SNAP refunded the money...(needless to say I couldn't shop at walmart for those 10 days either!) One of their workers, a young guy over there was so rude, I told him the girl at the cashier doesn't know what she is doing and he rudely tells me "so why don't you stand there instead!" And tells me that I am making up being late for my doc appt , that that was just a made up story! Absolutely rude and mannerless, don't know how to talk to customers, I had been going to this store since 16 years, and had seen many management changes as well, I am not new there, but this management doesn't seem to care, THE WORST SERVICE EVER I have received from an...
Read moreIt is great that there is a decent Indian grocery store in this corner of PA. While it's not a huge market, yet, like Patel Bros. in Chicago it has everything we need and we shop there 1-2 times every month.
My only wish is that they carried more varieties of brown rice in large bags so we didn't need to go further to get it.
Finally, I want to address the issue a couple reviewers bring up about staff friendliness. Realize the idea of "service with a smile" is very American and not everyone's ethos, nor should it be. I frankly prefer what I get there because it means I'm getting fast efficient service compared to some of the local major grocery stores.
Also they are the best local place for buying...
Read moreI spent nearly $50 on three packs of chicken nuggets here, and when I opened them two smelled completely rotten. One was so bad I threw it straight in the trash. When I went back to the store, the staff refused to take any responsibility, were extremely rude, and could not even communicate properly. They would not give me a refund or exchange, and only after I pushed did they reluctantly take my number for the owner. This is not the first time this has happened with spoiled food from this store, but it will be the last time I ever shop here and no one in my family will go back. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and zero accountability — stay away. If I won’t hear back from them, I will involve...
