I went to this address today for some bloodwork since I was seen by my physician yesterday after I had eaten, but needed some lab work done before being seen on Monday by a specialist. I had called here yesterday before noon to make an appointment, but the message gave the # to call once and didn't repeat it and they also said that walk in would be accepted. So I was one of 8 to walk in at 8AM. There was one person working and she reminded us of that several times. She got started shortly after 8, with the 8 am appointment. Each client stayed in room one a minimum of 15 min--chit-chat chit-chat. By 8:30 walk-in #1 left to return later. By the time the first 3 appointments were seen, it was 9. The next appointment, a pregnant lady interrupted to say she had another appointment. She was taken next and was in the room from 9:03 to 9:06 and then she was done just in time for the 9am appointment. At this point # 2 walk-in left. 9am was in from 9:07 to 9:21 At this point we were reminded that she was alone and had appts scheduled until 11:30 At this point another walk-in left.
Then the 9:15 appointment was 9;25 -9:33 Then #4 walk-ink left 9:30 was in from 9:35 to 9:44. Then walk-in #5 and 6 left. 9:45 was in from 9:46 to 9:52 When she came out she turned around giving the tech a thumbs up and saying 2 more left! Then the Tech came out and said, Oh, did everyone leave? Then 7 and 8 left. and # 1 returned and left again. AT 9;53, she called in the first walk-in from 8 o'clock---The woman only found out that her doctor hadn't phoned her script over or faxed or whatever. So she waited 2 hours to find out she couldn't have her work done. That took 2 minutes, because At 9:56 she called in poor Mike, who was probably 80 and had been waiting since 8 am. Despite the need to do paperwork, he was done and out by 10:05. Then she took the 10am @10:05 to 10:13. Then she had the nerve to ask Scott, the 10:15am, if he would mind if she took me first, because I had been there since 8. He was in a hurry so the answer was no and he was in from 10:15 to 10;23. At 10:25 it was my turn! The 3rd walk in, the 13th to be seen, in 2 hours and 25 min. It took 7 minutes for her to do my paperwork and draw at least 6 tubes. And the 10:30 was only 2 minutes late to be called. I worked in health care for 40+ years and it looks to me that you have a problem here. Do you really feel that appointments are advantageous ? If so, to whom? You lost nine clients this am. If some can be done in 3 minutes, why do some take 20? I understand hard sticks, but That is usually not associated with laughing and chit-chat. I think you need a time study, because i feel that realistically 7 or 8 minutes per client is possible, meaning that after each appointment, one person could be worked in. Don't worry, I'll never go back there without an appointment, but you lost 9 patients today. How does that affect your bottom line? I had many other things to be doing, but ended up taking notes instead. They are written on the back of the flier about...
Read moreRecently I went to get blood drawn but I had a change on my insurance I was concerned my doctor wouldn’t get the results so I called my doctor while I was in the waiting room I was the only one there and there was no one in the waiting room I was told my appointment would be in 10 minutes. While I read off my insurance number on the answering machine one of the technicians came out she was a person of color with a brown short bob ( I am a poc as well) . She screamed my name as if the room was full of people . I read off the last number and hung up and she asked me something related to why I was on the phone . I told her I was giving my doctor my insurance. As I got in the chair she was very rude and I could already tell this wasn’t going to be a good experience. I asked her to give me a smaller needle because I don’t like needles . She then began to draw my blood and it was extremely painful and she started twisting the needle. I screamed and cried and she blamed me for being tense and told me I have to get it done my doctor ordered . I grabbed my stuff and went to another technician with blonde shoulder length hair . She was nice and I had no issues with her taking my blood . I don’t like getting my blood drawn but when I communicate I don’t like needles I have a fairly pleasant experience. The first technician was so rude from introduction and doesn’t care about the patients . I should of listened to my first thought of asking for another technician when I experienced her nasty energy in the waiting room . Experience was not...
Read more"A lab that respects your busy life" is not an accurate way to describe this business. They integrated technology for sign ins, which was a big mistake since most clients are senior citizens who are not familiar with ipads. Thats not the big problem, however. The estimated wait for me was 20 minutes. It took me 45 minutes before i was able to speak to someone, who then informed me they do not take my insurance. The Quest Diagnostics that used to be open in Nazareth took my plan, so why did I wait 45 minutes to be told they didn't? The other customers were all uncomfortable with the wait; 2 women complained about it when leaving. Apparently the workers were chit-chatting holding up the already busy place. This business has a staffing problem and an infrastructure issue. Ive been to Quests with friendly staff before, and short waits. This staff was disrespectful and did not apologize for my inconvenience, nor did they welcome me when I entered. Whatever you do, if you MUST go here, which I recommend you dont, make an...
