Read moreCustomer service is poor.
I bought a Cerium Vest for Christmas to my father at MSRP (no sale) for $300 online. Excited after unwrapping his gift, he removed the paper tag after trying it only to find out it was tight after zipping it up.
I brought the product, brand new with paper tags unattached, to this location for an exchange in size or a Arcteryx credit to buy the same product in larger size.
Yet, the employee has complete lack of understanding and stood firmly to "the tag is detached, the sale is final...we cannot help you". To drill his point further, he added "we also dont have that style here in mens and our retail is different division than online store". "I cannot help you" he said with a stoic expression.
So for a missing plastic tag fastener (which can be easily bought), he refused to offer any assistance. No exchange, no store credit (I never asked for monetary refund) or to speak to his manager.
While the refund policy states paper tags need to be attached, it also does state returns are at the discretion of the team. Refused due to a missing plastic retainer for a product I bought at MSRP. Highly dissapointing in the store and brand situated in such a...
Read moreThis review is less about the store and staff (which are fine and helpful, respectively), but rather about the company standing behind their products. I invested in one of the top-end ski jackets (men's Macai) a few years ago, and after a few years of use the inside liner wore through and split due to friction against my ski pants. This was a defect in the material, so I sent the jacket in for warranty service. The company replied that the jacket was out of warranty and offered to repair the jacket for $275. Now, this jacket is only a few years old, and it was an acknowledged defect. That they would not stand behind one of their most expensive jackets says something about their commitment to their customers. Plenty of other top brands offer lifetime warranties or simply stand behind their products and respect their customers enough to fix defects. I really wanted this to end differently because I liked the jacket. But I won't be spending the premium bucks again with Arc'teryx due to the risk of no customer service behind my investment. Just be aware that many competing outdoor gear companies are far better at supporting their products and care about their customers and offer...
