Read moreEclectic Burger Joint featuring a wide variety of burgers and buns in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. They also offer Salads, Appetizers, and Sandwiches. Vegetarian, Vegan, GF options available. Two Burger sizes— 5oz Burger is decent, 10oz Burger is thick and a lot. Update: 11/7/22 Drove 10 miles today to get a burger because my first visit was so good. Sadly, the next two visits were disappointing. This visit the Server shared their favorite is the Mac Gnarly Burger so I decided to try it. What a mistake. Asked for Medium, it came out very well done and very dry. It was very hard to eat with an extra bun in the middle. Brought it to server’s attention and they came back saying probably take a couple dollars off. I said no, at least 1/2 price. See the photo—left that half behind. So the mgr comped the meal, which was a plus. But the manager never came over or talked with me. Next visit was poor again. Another overcooked, dry burger and the meat looked different from my first visit (see below). Won’t return.
First Visit I got the 10oz Backyard BBQ Burger medium and added bacon. Temp was accurate. FF were crisp and delicious. I didn’t love the very thick Brioche Bun (too much) and the Onion Rings on top made it just too challenging to eat, so I took them off and ate separately. The abundance of spicy pineapple BBQ Sauce had good flavor, but made for quite a messy meal(see photos). My friend got the BYOB (build your own—5oz basic cheeseburger) and opted for the Sweet Potato Tots instead of FF. I didn’t love those—too sweet and not crisp. Choice of Brioche, Pretzel, Wheat, or GF Bun. Sub grilled Chicken, Veggie Patty, or other for the beef. Happy Hour daily 11am-6pm and until closing on Thursday. The decor is reminiscent of a beach front restaurant! It’s got a small outside patio. Inside vibe is ok…kinda dark, especially for lunchtime. Small, tight dining room that’s right up against the small bar with seats. But it seems to work. It was pretty busy at lunch for a Monday. Service was fast, friendly, accommodating ,and helpful. Parking is behind the restaurant. After two poor visits and unfriendly management, I can’t...
Read moreMy husband and I love this place. It is a bit small and gets crowded quickly with a bit of a long wait. So check their busy times and set your expectations that way. We have tried almost all the burgers and haven't found one we didn't like. But, and I HATE to say this, the burger we ordered (we shared cause they're huge and we wanted to have room for dessert) was not too great. We got the chili burger. We cut it in half, and my husband got a perfect pink center patty... but mine was not too great. We both LOVE medium rare, but this wasn't it :(. My half was almost red and tasted sort of warm but colder than I would expect from a medium rare burger patty. It tasted very raw and not in a good way. It tasted like I ate a patty someone hadn't grilled yet. The outside part was fine, though. I feel so bad when I have any kind of problem with my food at a restaurant and sometime I just keep quiet and endure, but dude I was so hungry and I couldn't eat the burger without gagging. I asked politely and quietly about the patty, and I was offered a new one, which I was so grateful for. But...the second one was just the same as the first one. I just couldn't eat it and felt sad and didn't want to look like a jerk, so I picked at it for a bit and just drank my margarita, which I highly recommend though. Their drinks are really good, and happy hour has good deals. Dessert was the pot brownie. I can't express how much I love those things. It comes in a mini cast iron pan, is super fudgy, comes with a scoop of ice cream, marshmallow fluff, and peanut butter on top. It is chocalately heaven 😋 (I ended up taking the burger home, took off the soggy bun, grilled it for a couple of minutes until medium and put it in a burger bun I have at home so it wasn't a total disaster, I was just bummed out I couldn't eat it...
