I picked the Spa at the Flamingo after reading reviews of other spas, location (Mid Strip), and price. After having a massage a week ago at a GREAT spa in Palm Springs, I was curious how this place would be. My friend and I came in the day before and the male at the front desk was very nice and professional and we did a quick tour and thought this will be good. when we arrive a half hour before our scheduled massage time ( their request) I understood why, The front desk staff were unorganized and with a few different people showing up all at once they looked overwhelmed. They then sent us back to the spa where we stopped at another desk with one less person but the same amount of people in front of her. Once again unorganized. they had another person take my friend and I and another person back to the locker rooms, waving at the other areas ( spa, showers lounge etc) along the way then gave us 3 lockers right next to each other so that we had to doesy-doh around each other to get changed. After my friend and I sat down in the lounge to await our massages, my friends name was called and a lady came over and started putting a paraffin wrap on her feet. Since we were there for massages only I asked if she ha the right (name of person), she said yes but another patron spoke up and said that was her name to and she was her for the foot spa, not my friend. The lady just shrugged and went to get another paraffin wrap for the correct customer. After our massages we came out to soak in the tubs; they have a hot, warm and cold. I didn't use the cold but the warm was luke warm and the hot was fine. After our showers I started noticing the overflow of dirty towels, robes etc that hadn't been picked up and that they had run out of sanitized hairbrushes they provide. Overall the spa was lacking BUT PETER was EXCELLENT!! I have had quite a few massages in my day and had seen a Massage therapist regularly for 5 months after an auto accident tweaked my hip and shoulder. I have only had 4 "spa" massages, this being the 4th and 3 of them were by males. Not that females can't exert enough pressure but for some reason the males seem to be able to give the correct amount of pressure , Peter's technique was optimal for relaxation ,and working out those kinks and sore spots. Perfect hands. If Im ever back to Vegas and need a massage , I will overlook the other faults of this place to have him massage me again! Another person posted that the gratuity was automatically applied, but my receipt had 2 places for gratuity, one for the spa itself and one for...
Read moreThe massages are always great. I would give them a solid 4.5 stars for the massges specifically (shout out to Troy and Rose!). I've been several times and really love their therapists and the power of each of the 3 jacuzzi tubs. The vintage flamingo wall art is some of my favorite features of the spa.
Overall though, the spa really needs some maintenance and care. For example, I was there in July and saw a dead cricket in a light fixture in the sauna (it's enormous and very easy to see since you are staring straight at it laying in the sauna), 6 weeks later it is still there, the faucets are all corroded, the shower facilities are all old and some work better than others, whoever painted the ceiling by the whirlpools didn't finish the job so it's all patchy. Someone needs to spend some money to freshen things up. It wouldn't take much but good grief it feels so tired. This is a more budget massage for Vegas but still, it's not cheap to go to the Spa and it just feels a bit grimey.
Everyone that works there does the best they can with what they are working with and I appreciate all the products for getting ready (mousse, hairspray, antiperspirant spray, make up wipes, etc) and they have better drinks/snacks than Caesars which I really appreciate.
Also, for the love of God BRING A CLOCK BACK! I will never understand this aversion to having clocks in the spa. You don't want us to use phones, fine, but give us a way to tell time especially when we have specific service appointments booked and are getting ready and may have places to be. PLEASE, INSTALL A...
Read more0/10 rating. My husband and I did a couples massages. Firstly, they were completely unprepared for our visit and it was like teenagers were running the spa. They asked us about enhancements and I chose and aroma therapy but they didnt have the one I chose. I didnt realize they make you practically snort the aroma smell 3 times and thats it. No diffuser, nothing. Everything felt rushed. The entire time of my massage the therapist was massaging, he was very rough and fast like it was a speed 80 minute massage. I tried to correct him a few times. He also kept drinking out of his yeti so every 5 minutes you heard him clank his drink. He kept hitting my hair in a clip when walking by. Felt like I was getting smacked by a damn noodle every time. At one point he was sitting on a rollie chair, knocked it over and crashed it into something. The lights were left on full blast the whole time. You could hear everything going on in the hallway. Oh and my favorite. The spa tubs were not to temp in the mens coed area. 2 were absolutely frigid and the 3rd was supposed to be the hot spa was 106 after we complained that it was too hot they measured it. They said it was normal. I pointed to their sign that said 104 was supposed to be the MAX temp. Not scalding. We went to womens area and it was much more tolerable. These people are whack and we will never pay over $500 for massages with them again. Weve had better at...
