Men's Wearhouse — Local services in Pasadena

TLDR – Not greeted, ignored for other customers, sexism, desired sizes not available. 0/5 stars, DO NOT recommend.

I walked into this establishment seeking an XL dress shirt for my partner. He needed this sizing in case anyone is looking for the same one: 36/37 x 16.5-17.5.

Regardless, I very frantically search racks, shelves, and displays for at least a shirt that was XL, but they were in low stock or not the color I needed (black/dark). After searching for about 10 minutes and attempting to make eye contact with several associates to see if they could help, I decided to wait by the dressing rooms. I had a few associates look at me as I waited for them to either no longer be busy or ask me if I needed help. Within 5 minutes, two MEN walked in and were IMMEDIATELY offered assistance. The kicker? They were “JUST BROWSING.” I cut the men off before I could answer as I had very clearly been looking for something with no success, assistance, or so much as a greeting from a dang employee.

At this point, I was brought two shirts that were not the size/specifications I asked for and had to clarify what I needed. I was offered another further store to try instead, but I didn’t get so much as an apology for being ignored. As a woman, I’m offended at the sexism I witnessed. Service was mediocre. I felt rushed during the sizing. I would have liked to have seen samples of the material or see a display suit I was getting rather than just an image on a wrinkled pamphlet. Several upsells were added on I didn't request, like she was trying to sneak it by me. Additionally the website advertised a $20 rush fee but I was charged $40.

When picking up and trying on the rental I was disappointed by how loose the coat looked. I was told nothing could be done about that, that's just how they look.

I was also disappointed that after seeing the pocket square the color didn't look good and I asked to swap it. I was told my only option was to purchase a pocket square for $20. After dropping $300 on a rental that felt like a slap in the face.

I'll be seeking different rental options in the future and probably won't return here or to any...

Needed a nice (but inexpensive) sports coat for a court appearance & casual “dressy” option for dining out with friends, etc. Nordstrom Rack was a f*ing nightmare, so I visited Men’s Wearhouse in Pasadena & Joseph A Bank (same company) across the street. Definitely preferred Men’s Wearhouse... better selection, nicer products, lower prices. More important: much better service! Kevin found several good options in my size (48R) & I picked a beautiful wool blend to my liking on sale for $129. MUCH better quality & lower price than I’d expected.
