3-25 update: Picked up this nice lantern for my backyard patio table. Love it! Time for spring cleaning & I’m sure I will be a regular here the next few months! Travel here for plants frequently because of the convenient location. I buy household maintenance items, fertilizers, yard & garden items, too, but visit mostly for flowers; love flowers. I designed a “Memorial Angel Garden” in memory of my sister in front of the house - gives me a constructive place to put the feelings (she was a stellar gardener). 💕 Most of the plants are from Home Depot (in hues of lavender, red & white, her favorites). I’ve been happy with the hardiness of all the plants. The garden area was stripped of all the overgrown, unsightly bushes & low layers of foliage. Then this project started out as a bald stretch (huge) patch of dirt & has been a “back breaking” project for me the last six months as I did it all (with help from my kids spreading multiple cubic yards of dirt, sand & rocks and they helped with the heaviest plants). Two weeks ago I purchased the most beautiful lavender mums here w scarecrow decorations from HD & they’re still amazing looking! (I’ve found these to be a little challenging to grow in FL prior.) - Just wish they’d have better periodic sales here. Last visit, also picked up a fall garden flag, Halloween mat & the cutest “ghostie” solar light - last two were surprisingly 20% off 👍. Every year they have great Halloween Decor & it’s always at the top of the full retail price tier (without any rotating specials I’ve noticed anyway…) so I don’t purchase much Halloween stock here generally. I’ve found the service in the garden center is always efficient & kind. Overall, I’ve had good experiences with this store. They installed the impact window upgrades on my residential property which was a huge project & the service was truly flawless. The project coordinator was one of the most professional contractors I’ve ever hired (will look for his name) “Chris” I think. And, I just remodeled a kitchen with a boutique company & they came in way over budget. So, I appreciate “no surprises” with the HD job & coming in on quote. Depending on your shopping/remodeling/do it yourself project, this may be your place!!

This store has the worst incidence of employees slacking off . Since Walmart check out went to self checkout , those employees all migrated here and were miraculous hired . Gone are the days of getting great advice from seasoned trades professionals , plumbers and retired electricians in the aisles . Now you have to hunt down someone who doesn’t want to work , has zero life skills or home ownership experience , who would rather huddle in the dark or out of the way corners of the building with their colleagues playing on their smart phones , pretending to round up shopping carts while having a cigarette or worse while shooting the breeze from their cars all while on the clock . Despite female customers struggling to get a bag of cement or cut of plywood into their suv right in front of their lazy noses , you’ll get little to no help . You’ll not see a manager anywhere in sight . The 2 check out lines are long because they have shut down the self check out lanes likely due to the high rate of theft at this store . Most ridiculous episode was trying to get into a closed aisle to buy baseboards , and discovering two young coworkers messing around with each other on a non functioning fork lift . I returned FOUR HOURS later to get more base boards only to discover the same nonsense and the aisle “ closed “ again to afford themselves some privacy . The one rare Person with any sense said after 3 months there HD begged him to be a manager despite having no experience at the store and no managerial background . He declined . What we are seeing is the beginning of the end of Home Depot.

I recently visited the Home Depot in Pembroke Pines, and I must say, my experience was exceptional. One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking available. It was easy to find a spot, which is always a plus when you’re in a hurry. Upon entering the store, I was impressed by how organized and clean everything was. The aisles were neatly arranged, making it easy to navigate through the various sections. Whether I was looking for tools, gardening supplies, or paint, everything was easy to find, which saved me a lot of time. The stock of materials was impressive as well. They had a wide variety of products available, ensuring that I found exactly what I needed for my home improvement project. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the store wasn’t crowded, which made for a more enjoyable shopping experience. What really stood out was the efficiency of the checkout process. With minimal wait times, I was in and out in no time. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, this Home Depot location in Pembroke Pines is a great choice for anyone looking for quality home improvement materials in a clean, organized, and efficient setting. Highly recommended!

Worst customer service period. Bought an old house to do a full remodel a few blocks away from this Home Depot and every time I need assistance with something it is a very long wait to get the right person to help you just to find out they don't have what you're looking for. Although when you go to the Home Depot website on your mobile phone to look for an item, set the search preferences to the particular store you're shopping at, the system says they have 30 units available, wait 45 minutes for the employee in charge of that department to show up, you explain him what you want or need and he'll tell you: "aaaaah, we ran out. Gotta wait for the next shipment." The layout on this store is the worst. They only have one person in electrical when the department is split in two separate sections far from each other: isles 8 and 9, then jumps to isle 47. They had to call the electrical guy 6 times (5 different employees via the intercom system) for him to show up 45 minutes later to tell me that the 30 units that show in the website are not available in the store as the system suggests. Either the management is too cheap to hire a second guy to help in a large department like electrical when the layout of the store calls for it given the department is split in two large sections far from each other, or the system implemented in their website to let you know the availability of the items you're looking for is inaccurate and misleading, or the employees use the easy way out telling you they don't have it available so they don't have to get the ladder and get up there to find what you need. It's probably all of the above. The funny thing is that every time I leave this store and go to the Davie store the experience is completely the opposite. From now on I'll drive a little longer and go straight to the...

I absolute despise this Home Depot location. The “Customer Service” rep was rude and not helpful.

After exhausting my search, I asked for assistance to find an electrical switch cover to abandoned an old switch within a multi-switch cover plate. The person working the isle tells me that they “never heard of this being doing before.” I noticed an expression of bewilderment. I asked if he could check inventory. The rep replies, “I don’t even know what to look for.” Ok, I will go to customer service.

Once at the customer service counter, I described to the customer service rep what I was looking for and gave a switch cover plate example to help illustrate. I asked her to check her database to see if Home Depot even offered it. She says with a tone of voice and an expression of inconvenience, “if it not on the isle, we don’t have it.” I just want to know if you offer it and maybe at another store. And then I got the death-nail comment, “YOU can go check online.” Not the answer that I was looking for.

I have now had multiple bad experiences at this store location. I have bought packages that have been re-taped just find parts are missing. I have had to wait 15 minutes for just ONE restroom stall to become available while having to listen to phone typing while I waited just to discover employees exiting while others just hang out in the stalls.

Whereas your store location is convenient, I have left this store multiple times FRUSTRATED and empty handed.

Allowing an environment like this is not fair to your good employees. Regardless though, I WILL NOT spend my money at this...
