Had a horrible experience at this store today. I had spent close to an hour picking around 11 toys and couple of backpacks for my 3 yo daughter. I spent so much time and care looking through each shelf to pick the right thing. My shopping cart was right behind me, while I was kneeling down to check some more toys (Iām a week away from my due date for my 2nd baby, hence had to almost sit down). After few moments I turn back to see one of the store associates has cleaned up the cart and put back all the stuff in the shelves (not all in one place). When I told her its my cart and I had close to 11 diff toys in it, she just responded, āoh okā and walked away. I couldnāt just believe that she didnāt bother to even apologize for a courtesy. To top it off, when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the guy at the billing counter, he just dismissed it saying thatās how it works here. If no one is holding onto the cart, we always clean it up. I just ended up wasting extra time finding all those toys again and also left feeing angry for how they were so inconsiderate. Just a āsorry, it was a mistakeā would have done...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI tried purchasing a few items with a merchandise credit I had from a return my mom did for me. She helped me with this because I was sick with my baby at home and was not able to go.
The lady that helped my mom wrote MY NAME on the receipt and even went further to write a note saying, āPlease allow janelle sanchez to use this credit. Her mom returned these items for her.ā
Tjmaxx policy states that the person who returned the item is the only person that can use the credit.
I work in customer service myself and so I understand policeās but I found it pretty ridiculous and ugly that the woman helping me wasnāt very helpful at all. Iām fact she was dismissive and rude. She didnāt give me a chance to speak and explain the note on the receipt. She kept speaking over me and pointing to the sign that states their policy.
I can read. Thank you.
There was no understanding or kindness that came from her. She then called the store manager, Jason and I received the same service.
Itās a shame they speak to people like that and donāt care to listen.
I will not be going to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTJ Maxx offers a shopping experience that's a step above its nearby competitor, Ross, in my opinion. While you'll still find yourself hunting for clothes that may or may not be in your size, there are great discounts to be found if you're willing to put in the effort. However, the experience can feel a bit uncertain, as you never quite know what you'll findāit's more of a "let's see what's in here" vibe than a targeted shopping trip. The store itself is clean and simple, and I appreciate the effort to maintain a higher standard than some other discount retailers. That said, I do wish they offered a larger selection of discounts on other items, like tech gadgets, game deals, or even furniture for those looking to upgrade their home office setup. Overall, TJ Maxx feels like a place that hasn't quite kept up with the times in terms of innovation, but it still offers decent deals for those...
