Athleta — Local services in Perrysburg

Unfortunately I cannot ever shop at this location again in good faith. I love Athleta clothes, so I guess I’ll just be shopping online. The staff at this location is not only poorly trained, not knowledgeable of company policies - they are incredibly rude and are downright mean. In 2025 I never thought I would be experiencing harsh comments about my body in a clothing retailer. A staff member here in the fitting room said to me “LOOK AT THAT BELLY” as I walked into a fitting room to try clothing on. I thought… I misheard her? She couldn’t be talking to me? She continued stand in front of my curtain and doubled, then tripled down with pregnancy comments… I told her I was in fact not pregnant and maybe commenting on someone else’s body was inappropriate. We can’t all be size 00 white women & you never know what is going on in someone else’s body. I could be suffering from a chronic illness, I could be on a new medication, I could be miscarrying. My body is my business, and not up for conversation from strangers - especially in a vulnerable situation like trying on new clothes.

I am a full time yoga instructor, literally a walking billboard for this brand, hell - I TAUGHT a class at this location 2 summers ago to bring in business!! It is truly a shame that a brand I once felt confident in, I now feel kind of stupid for investing a lot of money into.

I will never ever come back in person and risk an attempt at being humiliated by these vapid, sad women ever again. I spoke with corporate about this interaction, and even they were shocked by this behavior. I hope one day there is a full turn over to staff who express kindness and accept...

I love Athleta and have been shopping online for years because I’ve always lived 2+ hours away from the nearest store. I saw that this location recently opened in the Levi Commons within 15 of me and I was ecstatic! The staff here are soooo friendly and helpful and made the whole experience very pleasant. They gave helpful styling advice as well and were quick to help me find what I needed or check the back for additional stock.

If you’re new to Athleta, I can’t recommend them enough. You can find anything from workout to lounge to even hike and work/travel apparel here. The items generally lasts for years and are very high quality- it is worth the price you pay. I have not worn something out that I have bought here yet. I experienced the best shopping at Athleta the other day. The store is clean and well organized. More importantly the sale's associate Sophia showed my daughters and me great care and hospitality. We felt welcomed and appreciated as Athleta clients. Sophia took the time to help my daughter's and me choose the right fit and style. Her beaming personality brought joy to our experience.
