This is a copy of a letter I mailed them, and to date, have not yet received a response. This review will stand, until I receive satisfactory resolution.
"Dear Manager:
On June 13, 2021, I entered your establishment and purchased a 6-month pass, as well as dues to enter the club. I then returned on July 24, and the man who was behind the counter held me up for about a half hour, after I confirmed for him that I had purchased the above 6-month membership. Initially, he charged me for a full day pass. He then spent the better part of the half-hour going through a small pack of receipts, about 6 times in total, unable to find one or both receipts from June 13. He stated that he didn’t see any 6-month membership in the system for me. I have bank records to prove all of this.
In my opinion, there was no need for this. I felt harassed. There were members behind be, waiting in line. I was professional in my communication with him, yet he raised his voice at me several times, seeming defensive, when this was unnecessary.
Finally, I got to my room. After a couple of hours, Eric, one of the staff members, unlocked my locked door, while I was in the room, without announcing himself. This was a complete violation of my privacy, and was inexcusable, as at no time was I doing anything illegal – the only reason I can think of, why he would have been justified in doing so. As if this wasn’t enough, a few minutes later, he returned, and knocked on my door about a half a dozen times. When I asked him from the other side of the locked door to please stop, he stated that he wanted to get my last name. I respectfully refused. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have gotten this from the above front desk staff, or look this information up on the computer himself, as I was already checked in.
Within 10 minutes, I got dressed, cleaned everything out of my locker, and left, as a direct result of this staff member’s unauthorized entry into my room. Upon exiting your facility, I dropped off a note for the staff member who initially greeted me, asking for you to please call me at your earliest convenience. I was asked why, and I explained the above to him; that I would like a refund of my stay from that day, as well as a refund of the 6-month membership, due to the above missteps from your staff.
That was over 3 weeks ago, and I still have not heard back from anyone at your business. I would appreciate a call or letter, explaining your intentions moving forward, if I am to ever return.
Thank you for your consideration regarding this matter, in advance."
Update: MONTHS later, I was sent a letter that stated I was banned. For reporting an employee for inexcusable...
Read moreThe club itself it pretty cool. The staff well there 4 working when I went and 1 was kinda spacy and lost all the time, the other was pretty friendly and looked like he was doing most of the foot work, the 3rd had the personality of a sassy southern mother and the 4th one honestly was just plain rude. Yall can figure out who's who by my description... other then the Staff here was I can remember about the amenities. Shower sandels are available for purchase for $6.00, fleets $4.00, gun oil $14.00/$22.00, redbull $8.00 they also had some mouth wash and other toiletries availed all of which are over prices but that's part of how they make money so im not ragging on them I'm just telling you so you know to bring your own stuff. We went at 1200 on a Saturday night and all the rooms were sold out you could purchase a locker and be put on a wait list for a room. A locker purchase gets you 8 hours of spa time. The basement has a communal shower with warm to cold water but honestly the place it kinda toasty so I didn't mind it. The basement has 2 saunas as well 1 is currently down as of Novemeber 2022. There is a double stalled bathroom in the basement as well with a single person private shower and 1 sink. The basement also has other "Amenities" and 1 TV showing movies. The main floor has the outdoor patio the workout space the lockers and a concessions desk I couldn't tell because it wasn't manned but it looked like a place to get snacks and water. The floors above the main floor are all rooms. Every floor had a bathroom. The stair cases are narrow and steep it felt kinda dangerous walking around so walk with care. Which brings me to another good point the shower sandels they sell I wouldn't buy them you'll end up tripping all over the place I would just bring my own, a pair of crocks, or something with a slip resistant soul cause the floors can get slippery. The crowd well it was packed to occupancy and while everyone is pretty friendly nothing was really actually going on I was there from 12 to 230am before I ended up leaving out of boredom. You'll have better luck walking the streets of Philly TBH would I return yeah at least 1 more time during one of their events to see of the environment changes before I decide for sure I dont like it. To summarize it was a fun first time experience with not much of a turn out in the end friendly people. There are other details but I can't really give them on thus platform. You have to experience...
Read moreThe worst experience I had was going to Club Philly on 08/16/25 at 2:15 am to relax for a while and the cashier on duty wanted to take advantage of me knowing that I was very drunk. The guy on duty with the afro hair charged me approximately $60 for a locker, but that's not all. When I entered, took off my clothes in my locker to relax, from the top of the roof they were taking pictures of me from the locker next door. I went to reception to complain but apparently they did nothing. Then a fat guy started harassing me, he kept chasing me around the whole club, a member of the club,Taking advantage of me because I was very drunk and just wanted to relax that night They tried to steal my phone while I was relaxing in the sauna. and the club staff was only interested in knowing my identity But the story doesn't end here. When I decided to go back to my locker to get dressed, someone was spying on me from the door for some reason I don't understand. I fell asleep for a while and in my sleep I watched as they entered my locker. For security and privacy reasons, I cannot detail everything that happened through this medium since it is very strong and delicate to talk about this and I had to open an investigation with the Philadelphia police. When I decided to wake up, the manager on duty took me out of the club, obviously because my time was up. I explained to him what had happened, but he ignored me, so I decided to go and get a blood test to find out what substances had entered my body that night, and what surprised me. Upon leaving the club, I saw the owner of the club towing a completely closed trailer from his truck, moving it from door to door from the street to the door of the club. I ran out and managed to take a photo of the vehicle's license plate. For my safety and privacy, I had to file a complaint in case something happens to me and detail all the facts We are working as a team with the City of Philadelphia and the Police Department to permanently close this drug den that does not meet the...
