This salon is so unprofessional. My cousin wanted rose gold high lights, so as a birthday present I gave her the money and made the appointment at Liquid Hair Salon so she can get her hair dyed. Before I made the appointment I asked the salon if they can do rose gold highlights and they said yes. So my cousin went and the color turned out to be a copper gold and looked nothing like what she had ask for. Because it was so late and she was so frustrated as well sitting for 5 hours strait she didn't say anything until she left the salon. She said this wasn't the color that she wanted so I informed the stylist and she said she can come back and do her hair with out charge. We had to keep changing the appointment date because my cousin had to work and we live an hour away. So when my cousin went to the salon and sat down they told her she would have to charge her to fix the color when she already paid 250$ last time. Then the boss came over and started to give my cousin an attitude and the boss rudely called me and explained the situation how " their is a one week policy". I said to her if their is a one week policy why didn't you say anything when we change the appointment dates. They were just trying to scam us to pay again. When her first excuse for charging my cousin didn't work, she blamed it on the stylist that did my cousin's hair. The stylist left the salon for personal reasons and let another stylist to redo my cousins hair. The boss kept saying it was the former stylist fault and not the salons problem. I said my cousin paid your salon to do her hair and When I made the appointment I ask the salon if they can do rose gold high lights. The funny part is that the boss was the one who formulated the dye not the stylist. I said to her your salon is the one that hired that former stylist so how is it her problem? The boss said that she would call me back and handle the situation and she never did. Now it's been a week later so I called the salon today and they said the boss was not here today, go figure. So the manger call me. And I will say I was angry when I talked to him and all he kept saying was "don't talk to me like that", "don't tell me what to do", " I will handle it". How was I going to trust that salon again and let them handle it. That's what they said last week. I had to say this because how this salon runs things is so bad. Read moreI got my hair dyed and 1.) it wasn't the right color (not even remotely close) 2.) it wasn't the way i wanted it. Paid $250. They said i could come in and they would fix it for free. I made in total three appointments and canceled two of them and rescheduled in advance because of work (my cousin made my appointments for me and canceled them all for me because this is his regular salon and also, this hair appointment was his birthday gift to me). I came in on my third appointment and they said i had to pay additional $200 for the way i want my hair. I argued with the owner. Her argument was that she didn't do my hair, a former employee did. And also, because i made three appointments (she claimed i did not cancel one but it was not true & i had to pay a fee for that). Since i am older than my cousin, she said to me "youre a grownup, you should be canceling your own appointments". That was absolutely rude and besides the point as well. I paid $250 for Liquid Hair Salon. No matter who did my hair or not.
My cousin and I called many times to make my appointments and check availabilities. I was not told once i had to pay extra or even potentially having to pay and that they had a one/two week policy to come in and fix your hair. I drove an hour there only to find out on the spot that i had to pay extra. On top, I got attitude from the owner and she tried to blame everything on me & the former employee.
To further mention, when my cousin called the salon back, he asked for the assistant or the owner and he heard someone in the background saying "what am i supposed to do with it?! Hangup or something"
My cousin called the salon and they were very rude to him saying "Don't talk to me like that, you're a kid!"
My cousin and I made a Facebook review about our experience and we were immediately attacked by the owner's mother and close friends/relatives because they did not like how we were "bad mouthing" this business. THEN, deleted all their comments. However, this is our TRUE experience. I would advise to stay away from this place as much as possible.
I would assume that a lot of the good reviews are from relatives and friends.

It crushed me knowing that I had to search for a new stylist.
I started to search in different Facebook groups and then on Instagram. I went through so many stylists' Instagram accounts.
I consulted with someone in a local salon in South Philly. I didn't really connect with her. When I'm sitting in someone's chair getting my hair done, I really need a connection.
I happened to find Ashley's name popping up quite frequently in different groups on Facebook. I went to her IG and LOVED her hair photos! She was doing exactly what I was looking for. I also could tell by her own picture that she and I were going to vibe. I also saw on her account that she styles for two people I know. I knew that that was a sign!
I went in for a consultation with Ashley. Immediately, we hit it off. Since I had just gotten my hair done by my former stylist, I had to wait about 8 weeks to get my hair done by Ashley. I was literally counting down the days!
Yesterday was the day. I was so excited! We did a Balayage, which came out beautifully!
Everyone else at the salon is so nice and the place is so chill. I really enjoyed talking to the other girls while I was there. It's like one big family vibe.
