Drinks were good, most of the food was tasty. Waitstaff was terrible.
I told my server that I have a pistachio allergy, so please alert us if anything we order has pistachios and don't bring it out. My partner reiterated the same thing. Ten minutes later, our server brings out a pistachio-cheese spread and says absolutely nothing, no warning of any kind, to our table. Naturally when I took a bite, I immediately began to have an allergic reaction and had to leave quickly to find a pharmacy and some benedryl. While I was gone, my partner told our server one of the dishes had pistachios and I had to leave urgently. The server barely registered anything my partner said and just replied by asking if anyone would like to order another drink. Incredibly careless and insensitive mistake, and absolutely no ownership of it when the mistake was pointed out. Ruined the rest of our night. I understand mistakes can be made, people are forgetful, it's not the first time this has happened to me re: allergies. But the complete and utter lack of sympathy and even awareness of the mistake on the part of our server...
Read moreStopped by for small bites and drinks while visiting Philadelphia. They have nice outdoor sitting areas that allowed you to enjoy being outside, but also had protection from the elements and had privacy panels between tables. Didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was 1 open table outside. Once seated, Gabriel immediately came over to take the drink orders and give a few recommendations. He did a great job throughout the meal.
There were so many small bites and shareable items, so ordered a handful of items. Ordered the Burrata Toast, Mushroom Bruschetta, and cheese over the course of the evening. It was the right amount of food to slowly eat over a few drinks. Food was outstanding with my favorite being the Burrata Toast, but everything tasted so fresh and light. Drinks were also light and crisp. Both the drinks and food were perfect to enjoy a light meal over a conversation. Since it's not focused on food like a typical restaurant, never felt rushed to finish the plates and leave..
Great place to come for good food, drinks...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend are Tria regulars. There is usually a wait everytime we go and even the bar is full. But all to good reason, the Tria staff is very knowledgeable about the wine and snack (cheese, spreads, meat) offerings on their menu. I am not a wine expert, and my girlfriend knows more about wine than I do, but every single offering hasn't disappointed, from the light white wines to the heavier funky red wines. The cheese and wines make for excellent combo, and you can spend a lot of time, eat a lot of cheese, get wine drunk and spend a lot of money here. The interior ambiance is very chill and the lighting perfectly sets the mood. As stated, it isn't the cheapest place to go to, but it never disappoints. The spreads are all unique but I highly recommend choosing a combination that offers honey with the bread pieces. The atmosphere is kind of hipstery but doesn't feel pretentious and the staff is friendly. Recommendation: have a punch card or rewards system. Me and my girlfriend would be...
