Just left crazy hot buys after not going for 2 months had a horrible experience . First they were suppose to start at 8 am, but DID NOT OPEN until 8:30 am. They are often late, which is so disrespectful of the people who sleep there overnight. Today they must have made a mistake and left items in an open box in a bin in the back of the store. My understanding is that everything on the floor is for snatch and buy. So I grabbed as much as I could from one bin. When I went to the front to checkout, I only had 11 items so I wanted to help someone get the buy 10 then get 50 off. Brenda had just allowed someone else to do it. I waited for someone to come. Then Brenda came up mad, why? Because I finally got some great deals? I asked for the Sony headphones $1000, she said they don’t have them. She was mean and angry, and the wife of the owner was also. They said, do that again you wont be able to come back. Do what? Finally get a deal? Finally get a chance to get something good stuff that your friends MISSED, who are always at the front of the line? I said what did I do she said the items in the back of the store were for restocking. Really? Why were they out? Why in a bin? Huh? Items in a bin on a table in an open box? Isn’t that a you and your employees problem? I thought, but never said it. They checked the cameras then came back and angrily checked me out. I said why are you mad at me? The owner wife said you’re not helping us!! Then she walked off. What did she mean? Why were they mad at me for buying what was in a bin, in the back of the store that their employees left out by mistake? It lets me know that it’s all a PRE PLANNED set up. They purposely pick who they want to get the good stuff, and they don’t want it to be a black woman. I have actually been 5th in line, slept overnight, just to have Brenda take a white family of 5 from the back of the line and put them in front of me and my son. I asked why she said just be glad your in the front it’s still a good spot. That’s was months ago but I still...
Read moreWent a couple years ago and remembered having a great time doing a "treasure hunt" and it's just not the same as it used to be. On the day I went, almost everything was from target returns. This ruined the surprise aspect as it pretty much turned into finding items from target you liked as opposed to some random amazon order. This made it easier to find the price on the target website and see that it wasn't even that much of a discount. There were a couple good deals, but alot of the items were damaged and some were even fraud returns as I saw used toaster ovens and water bottles there. Most egregious thing was I saw some bins laying around and there was like 10 in a stack, spent a while searching for the lids as they got separated and finally found some and went to check out and they wanted to charge a dollar per bin. Granted this was their "1.99" day but come on. The cashier even checked the retail price on target to determine how much to charge me. I myself looked up the price and it was 1.25 each on the target website. The bin store used to be about finding a niche product that you can recognize the value of while no one else can and get it for a good deal. Now it's turned into pretty much turned into a resale...
Read moreI was always the #1 fan of this store. It made for a fun time to go, look for stuff, and find a crazy deal on something. Unfortunately the prices have skyrocketed, (used to be $10 on the most expensive day, and $1 on the cheapest, now it’s $20 on the most expensive and $3 on the cheapest). Actually sorry, 2.99. It’s such nonsense that they even went through the effort of posting prices with large 2 and a very small .99 next to it to make it seem like a good deal.
Aside from pricing, the store is a complete mess. Open garbage everywhere, no crowd control anywhere, empty boxes galore. There is so much garbage in the bins that you have to be careful not to get cut with broken glass or needles! They should be checking for this as it’s a huge liability.
The crowd inside is like rabid animals. Keep an eye on your stuff, or people will take stuff from your cart. Again, there should be security to help with this. The no opening boxes policy is not enforced.
The “barcode scanning” station never works, and the line to open boxes if it’s available, could take over an hour
Overall, the store has truly just gotten too greedy, and no longer offers the amazing deals and fun it used to. It’s just a...
