Your aggressive and angry stance towards my pregnant wife and myself was despicable. I’m in lifting for 20 years all across this world and number one rules always re-rack. Your weights. I compete it up on the stage. My best friend is Miss Olympia who made your Jim famous Dani Reardon I know you do not know Jim and the members don’t know Jim you have signs all around that gym that your weight or $25 fine and you have yet to enforce that rule so who needs to learn genetic bro you do. You always an apology and if you’re mad enough, you’ll do it because you were the one who was wrong in this case not us. I have never left the gym, so upset and angry because of your behaviors and your attitude and when I try to close out my membership, you got even more aggressive with me behind the counter because you were acting like a tough guy
The lack of cleanliness and disregard for proper gym etiquette at this establishment is unacceptable. Over the course of 20 years, I have visited numerous gyms, but I must say that this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. The gym is consistently dirty, with weights left scattered around and equipment in a state of disarray. It is concerning that there is no effort made to maintain cleanliness during operating hours. What is most alarming is the disrespectful behavior exhibited by gym-goers, such as leaving weights on machines and failing to clean up after themselves. This not only creates a hazardous environment but also demonstrates a lack of regard for others using the facilities, including my pregnant wife. The rusty weights and overall neglect of hygiene pose serious health risks. The issue of racial discrimination and aggressive behavior from staff members cannot be overlooked. It is deeply concerning that the situation escalated to the point where my wife had to reveal her pregnancy in an attempt to defuse the confrontation. The failure to address our concerns in a professional manner, along with the lack of basic courtesy and proper introduction, is simply unacceptable. Proper gym etiquette, such as re-racking weights after use, should be enforced consistently to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all patrons. The failure to adhere to basic gym rules reflects poorly on the integrity of the establishment and the professionalism of its staff. A gym should be a place where individuals can focus on their fitness goals without fear of aggression or discrimination. It is imperative that corrective measures be taken to ensure that the gym upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. All staff members should be held accountable for their actions and reminded of the importance of respectful and inclusive behavior towards all gym members. Failure to address these concerns will only further tarnish the reputation of the gym and compromise the well-being of...
Read moreWow the response to my husband review. Is absolutely absurd and so untrue. Your staff member never addressed himself as a staff member or someone who works at this gym. He came up to us harassing because my husband dropped a plate in frustration because I strained myself having to unrack weights which I am 6 months pregnant. He was absolutely the unprofessional one yelling at us. No members were uncomfortable so another lie. Actually, one of the trainers laughed and agreed with us. Because EVERY machine had at least 2 or more 45 pound weights on each side. Weights all over the floor absolutely danger and hazzard to anyone even walking around. It’s funny how you have a sign saying you charge people $25 not re-racking weights and you never enforce your own rules. Another lie this gym tells. You wanna talk about gym etiquette rule number one of gym etiquette is putting weights up and re-racking them which none of your members do evidently maybe you should take a class on gym etiquette. I’ve been to gym’s all over this country. Never once have been approached, like that, or seen one that unclean and disorganized. Truly shows you only clean up when Olympia is in town so the rest of the 11 months the gym trashed. Definitely felt discriminated against and racism highly being the only white people in the gym and the only one he comes up to aggressively has something to say towards. When we tried to tell him what was wrong, he did not care to even listen. Just tried to argue with us the entire time, so yeah, we got aggressive back due to the fact we were in the middle of a set that he could not wait til we finished. How would feel be rudely interrupted in the middle of a set. Maybe your staff member and your front desk guy that plays on his phone all the time should be walking around the gym picking up weights after people like other professional gyms do. I am owed an apology and my husband is owed an apology also. No wonder the bodybuilding community is leaving this gym...
Read moreI'm writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with power strength gyms business practices. When I signed up, I was not clearly informed about the cancellation policy, which requires a written letter and a $30 fee. Had I known about these terms, I would not have joined. As someone with experience running a Gold's Gym for 3 years father was a bodybuilder and I do fitness competitions , I understand how contracts work, and these terms are unacceptable.
Lack of Transparency I made a mistake by joining without fully understanding the area. I had just moved here and I realized I couldn't afford the transportation costs. Despite this, I took responsibility for my actions and paid for a year without using the service. What's appalling is that the gym accumulated over $500 in charges without notifying me. I only found out about the debt recently when I contacted them. I'm shocked that I wasn't contacted. At what point would they reached out? 5k? 10k? the amount was substantial. Questionable Business Practices I'd like to know which department handles the cancellation process and why there's no department to inform customers about non-functional cards, resulting in accumulating charges. It's absurd that you have a department for receiving cancellation fees and written letters. Which do they file? Frame them? but not for communicating with customers about issues with their payments. Final Statement As I no longer have a working relationship with powerhouse gym. I do not have any further business to discuss. As someone who grew up in gyms this is easily the most ridiculous thing I’ve come across. I Highly, HIGHLY recommend people to check...
