Our family had literal fistfights over Mario Party 4 ever since they first bought into the GameCube through my uncle who grew up on the classic and Super Nintendo, it was so played from many, many years that it eventually stopped reading. Started giving us the dreaded error reading game disc message so my mom ordered overnight delivery on one of those DiscDoctors. Ended up making it worse to the point I stumbled across the unlimited superstore of videogames here and saw the service provided for cheap. So we drove the small trip and parked to go inside, the owner Greg who’s an older lad with the thick bread greets us in draft clothing since he’s remodeling the bathroom to welcome us inside. Showed him about the disc, was very quick to notice the more harm than good that came from going through the botched operation of the DiscDoctor as he brought us over to the back and showed us the industrial-grade equipment he has installed alongside all varieties of consoles for testing (funnily enough, when it came time to test he forgot to check for a Tony Hawk Pro Skater that was in the disc tray already xD). Seemed very sociable and polite as he showed off tons of outstanding energy, the resurfacing was done for free pretty much due to him considering it as a highly valuable game; having made a remark that it was worth possibly more than the asking prices we found searching on eBay for just a disc-only copy though he offered us a spare PS2 case to stop the crack located on the center ring from expanding since a standard GameCube one would put pressure considering they aren’t clickable to release the force. Overall, real great atmosphere and the arcade truly was a blast from the past however it’s not worth shopping with the markup unless you have a game that you’re thinking of trading in for equivalent value like I came prepared with a Dreamcast copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 which I ended up trading in plus ~$20 for Resident Evil 2 since it’s a game we already owned and had put in...
Read moreOverall I can say Unlimited makes M&M look like trash. Unlimited prices their games fare, they have respect for everyone and they offer an arcade. I haven't gone into the cad yet, but from what I see on weekends and what I hear it's well worth it. They don't have a great selection of ps1 or wii titles but that is because the majority of trades for those consoles are either very coveted releases (Mario party, Diablo ect..) or sports games. Even with that I find myself still having a great time just marveling at the pricey stuff. Seeing a real unopened ff7 in person is definitely better than seeing it online. I appreciate the love and effort this place took to create. Thank you for always giving the community what they need, RETRO GAMES & A GREAT TIME!
Pricing is very fair as far as those rare titles and systems/ gaming equipment goes as well. Nothing is getting the ebay special. It's all cheaper than m&m by a mile and some. M&M is a total waste compared to these guys.
I've since gone to the arcade and it's absolutely awesome. Totally worth taking anyone from you're kids to a best friend. The owner ensures that every cabinet is working to their full potential. Street Fighter 2, Both Tekken tag 1 and Tekken 5, House of The Dead and even a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cabinet. Those are just some of the awesome games they have to offer. If you spend a decent amout of cash here on games do yourself a favor and put some points towards a visit to the arcade. You've got more than just cabinet as well. Xbox, xbox 360, ps 1 - 3, snes, genesis, gamecube and my personal favorite a Dreamcast with nearly all the games you could dream of playing. The rail gun shooters are also here and their even better than you remembered!
P.s. Daytona USA & Hydro Thunder is also offered. ...
Read moreI have had good experiences here for the past few visits; the staff is friendly, store is clean, but this past visit I had a jarring unfriendly interaction with a previous employee I had talked with before. I usually buy amiibo cards from Animal Crossing because I love AC. I was handed the card binder, and picked out as per usual. The employee was busy talking with another customer about old high school friends. When it came time to check out, I was scolded like a preschooler about not knowing the section it came from, being told "next time you can't take from the binder without one of us watching." Then why hand it over? I said it might have been 3$, but I was okay with paying 5$. It's a 2$ difference. The employee said I could pay the 3$ because I was buying something else, but ☆ this would be the last time~☆. I am literally a previous worker of a retro game store and develop video games, so being talked down to for an employee's mistakes was beyond infuriating and honestly makes me not want to come back. :/ Which is hard because I love everything about the store...
