UPDATE 2: I continue to order from Yoka as often as I can. I like the beef rendang, and the new shacha noodle soup is so rich and filling. The broth is almost more like a curry, it's a bit thick and so delicious. I ordered shrimp and it came with extra proteins like meatballs, fish balls, fried tofu - plus baby bok choy that was so perfectly tender and bite sized. I also tried the new Green Awakening drink - green mango, green olive, green tea, and a sour plum. It was perfect for me, fragrant and sour and sweet. I think I'd go 25% sweetness next time, though. If you like sour flavors I recommend it! The menu is so extensive I haven't even tried a third of the things I want to try, so expect more updates in the future....
UPDATE: We have had Yoka several times and everything I've tried here, has been amazing. Today I had sesame sauce noodles w/sliced beef and they were absolutely off the chain delicious. I have no idea if they're traditional to a certain region - the Chinese name is given as 麻酱流汁宽粉肥牛 - but they are in my top 3 noodle dishes ever. The beef is so tender and the noodles are super chewy/bouncy. The sauce is very garlicky and there are enoki mushrooms for a little crunchy contrast. As usual, their to-go packaging is immaculate. No leaks, no chance of tampering, and it's all themed and cute. Get these noodles. I would give them 88 stars.
Original review: My kids and I like to get bubble tea as a treat, and I decided on Yoka because of the curry fish ball noodles! I'm glad I did. The noodles were perfect and the curry flavor was so well balanced. I could eat them every day, probably. If you haven't had the fish balls before it's like a very finely ground seafood meatball - it has a bouncy texture to it and a mild seafood flavor. The combination with curry is delicious.
Egg tarts are Portuguese style, according to the description. They were possibly the best egg tarts I've ever eaten. The custard was cooked perfectly, not overcooked and broken. The crust is flaky and light.
The strawberry banana smoothie with strawberry heart jelly was also tasty. However, it was a bit difficult to get the jelly up the straw, which was frustrating for my younger child. The taste was great but I suggested next time we should use a spoon.
This was all ordered via delivery and arrived at the appropriate temperature in really nice packaging (it's so nice I am trying to find another use for it). I'm sure we will order again or go in...

Read moreWow I'm not sure who's writing the 5 star reviews, either that or I hit this place at the worst awful time. Our service was poor, our food was fair at best. Our server was pleasant enough, but he was eating at an adjacent table while serving our party of four. There were no other patrons in the restaurant at the time. I wasn't sure how to handle it, but Kennywood was open for business the whole time we were being served and there was food on his person. We requested water initially and received small plastic glasses without ice, at that point I didn't even push asking for a slice of lemon. I ordered pork with mushrooms and noodles. It may have been pork, but it could have been a low quality hamburger, there were 2 pieces of mushrooms and the noodles weren't very much better than a package of Ramen. Our order of stir fried Bok chow had 2 green sprouts and the Lo mein noodles were in a sauce. There didn't seem to be any stir fry involved. The crispy duck was over salted. Only the tofu and eggplant order was better than fair. All that being said the pricing was far above that of take out and the food was well below. The bright spot was one of the drinks we ordered. With gratuity we were above $30 each. The restroom could stand a...
