For the love of god, those working in the the asset protection area, cease the quick judgement and reactions. Making an analysis of a person's physical and/or behavioral characteristics is not your job and can prove quite fruitless among other things, such as it were with me. _ Today, March 25, 2022 between 9:10- 9:33 a.m., I made a dash to the store to grab only "two items". I was deemed to be a shoplifter by the clerk monitoring me in the card section (Yes! I noticed you). Owing to the early time, having the day off as a Neonatal Nurse, couple with what was going on in our family, It did not come to mind that I needed to dress to the nine or watch my every movement. I needed to grab a salad and a card FOR MY BONE-CANCER STRICKEN UNCLE who is in hospice care and not given much longer with us. _ Though I wore a quite gorgeous and quite expensive Tahari jacket with modest yoga clothing underneath, I was presumed of possible criminal activities. I did not look disheveled, as I could see the concern there (be that it would have been unfair). It would be as silly as judging someone's financial status and intellectual abilities simply for working at a retail store past at a certain age. _ Two things come to mind of why: 1. Looking upwards towards signs/tip-top shelves on a few isles to find the right greeting card. 2. Looking towards the door after entering the store. The reason I looked upward was because I do not usually purchase cards from this location and need the assistance of you signage. That is what they are essentially there for, correct?? The reason I looked back towards the door was due to the nature of the rude elderly lady who was sorting carts at the front of the store; she caused me to do a double take. Perhaps start profiling her attitude in the future and not innocuous customers. I suppose that when you are of particular demographic, those common things above place you in the "be on alert" category. The young man's attempt at being inconspicuous made him in fact conspicuous. At hast, trying to find the isle I was on. Walking pass me walkie-talkie in hand to take an enormous amount of time to put up a small single item. And finally, taking the scenic route to walk back towards me when the nearest exit of said isle was on the opposite end he stood at, was all dotty and ridiculous. Since whomever decided to watch me like a hawk, surly you can see my wiping away tears as I was deliberating on which card to purchase for my dying uncle, right before living the card section. _ āHumans see what they want to see.ā Cameras cannot. Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave never been to this location but I was in the area and was stuck. If you go to self-checkout and you want to use your target debit and receive $40 cash back, you need to have your actual card with you. Again, I was in a bind and from previous shopping trips to my regular Target I know that if a cashier rings me up and I have them scan my phone for the app to pay I can still get $40 cash back. I walked up to an employee and asked if there were any checkout lanes open or was it just self-checkout? She walked over with me and someone was over there at the registers, looked like she was cleaning out the trash or something. She was an older white lady with a short gray haired bob. When the employee asked her if any of the registers were open as I was needing to be rung up on the register the lady said no, self-checkout is open. I immediately stated to her I'm asking about a checkout lane because I need cash back and I don't have my actual card with me but if you check me out on the register I can still get the cash back. She interrupted me and stated "no, you can use self checkout". I told her no, you need your actual card which is the reason why I'm here because I left my debit card at home. She again interrupted me and was repeating herself. I interrupted the lady and I told her I may not work here but I know for a fact that you cannot get cash back without your actual Target card in self-checkout but you can when you go to a checkout stand and have someone ring you out and scan your phone to pay with your Target wallet. As soon as I said Target wallet she was like oh I see what you're talking about now. So I interrupted her again and I said "and that is why you should never interrupt or act like you know everything". I said to her I clearly stated this the very first time I explained it to you but you didn't listen because you just automatically assumed you knew where I was going with my question. Obviously reading some of the other reviews that have been left, everybody in that entire store needs to be retrained. People need to learn how to listen to HEAR, not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Target and have shopped here my entire adult life. I ordered 2 chairs on the app for drive-up pickup, paid with gift card, and went to the store. I went inside to do some shopping, planning to check in and move my car to the pickup spot once I was done, so as not to take up their spots. Apparently the app told the store I was there upon arrival. The store has a 5 minute policy on the drive-ups so my order was cancelled while I was in the store shopping. When I went to the help desk I was told via the woman working the counter through her manager over her earpiece that the balance of my gift cards would take a few days to restore and that there was nothing they could do. The chairs were on a cart 5 ft from me. The manager would not come to the counter to speak to me, despite the woman working customer service asking him to. So I ordered and paid for my chairs, went to the store to pick them up, spent additional money inside the store, and then was not able to take my chairs with me. This is a bad policy and a cowardly manager who would not speak to me or deal with this issue in some satisfactory way. I then tried to call the store several times on my way home to ask them to hold the chairs for me until my gift card balances had refreshed and over the course of 4 phone calls the phone rang for more than 10 minutes...
