I feel like I was either bamboozled or taken advantage of…. I entered the shop and told the gentleman that I wanted a strawberry cup and that my mom wanted some pistachio baklava. He asked me how much pistachio baklava and I waved a $20 bill and told him, “about $20 worth.” He said, “they’re $1.99 per piece, can I give you 15?” I thought in my head, “well that would be $30 but ok…” so I told him, “sure”. So I got 15 pistachio baklava. Assuming the walnut baklava was around the same price (they were the same size as the pistachio) I asked for 6 of them. Again, assuming that would cost me another $12. I also ordered 2 pieces of something else and 1 piece of something else. When the gentleman went to ring me up, he said he was going to charge me “per pound” for the baklava. Again, I assumed, “ok I’m going to get a better price.” he walked away, then walked back on the telephone. Over the phone I literally heard him say, “15 pistachio and 6 walnut baklava” he hung up the phone and then told me, “sorry, I get confused with the pounds so I had to call and ask” then proceeded to ring me up for $54 worth of baklava!!!! That’s NOT counting the 2 pieces of something else, 1 piece of something else, and the strawberry cup. He added those items to my order and it rang up to be $90. How did I go from paying $42 for baklava, to paying $54 because he was charging “by pound” which I thought was going to be BETTER for me… I literally felt sick to my stomach. I didn’t want to ask this man to put my items back and someone else was waiting, so I just paid for it. I got anxiety and quickly paid and left. I know, im so upset with myself, but the prices were very misleading. I literally waved a $20 bill in front of this man when asking for $20 worth of pistachio baklava. I also was not given an itemized receipt. I truly feel like I was taken...

I recently visited Lelas Sweets, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience filled with delightful treats and warm hospitality. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly brewed Arabic coffee. It was the perfect start to our visit, offering a rich, aromatic flavor that complemented the sweets beautifully. We indulged in a variety of desserts, starting with the Kanafa Finger. This dish was absolutely amazing! The crispy, golden layers of pastry combined with a luscious filling and sweet syrup created a heavenly bite that left me wanting more.Next, we tried the Bayn Narin, which was equally delightful. The balance of flavors and the chewy texture made it a satisfying treat that I thoroughly enjoyed. The Halawat Aljubnih was another must-try. Its creamy and sweet profile provided a delightful contrast, making it a luxurious dessert that I couldn't resist. Finally, we sampled the Alnumura, which was a lovely addition to our selection. The unique flavors and beautiful presentation made it a feast for both the eyes and the palate.Overall, everything we tried at Lelas Sweets was exceptional, but the Kanafa Fingerstood out as the star of the show. Coupled with the refreshing Arabic coffee, this visit was nothing short of a culinary delight. I highly recommend Lelas Sweets for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Middle...

UPDATE!!!!! : After speaking with the owner, he explained everything to me. It was an emergency that occurred with the opener this morning ( completely unexpected) so he opened the store himself instead, as soon as he could. He was VERY KIND, friendly & very professional. Here is my feedback on the actually product. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My co-workers LOVED IT. I appreciate the owner for understanding my feelings because I was disappointed but he definitely made it right. I will be back here. This place is worth trying & the prices are cheaper than Big Dash & the taste is authentic!!! Thank you again!! They are suppose to open at 11:00am & it’s 11:15 they are still not open. I used my lunch break to buy some sweets for myself & my co-workers. So basically I wasted my time & made a blank trip because they weren’t following the time they created. I called the store & no answer. I was hopefully that maybe they were in the back or something. A older couple even came by to try the sweets & were disappointed & left. They even had an employee waiting outside for someone to let her in so she can start her shift. Very disappointed & unhappy.
