Tim Jon Salon — Local services in Plano

I drove half an hour to come here and it was worth every minute and mile. I was in a coma in December/January and as a result lost a lot of my hair. I've always had long hair, so waking up and having to cut off the hair I've had my whole life was traumatic for me. All year, my hair has been limp, lifeless, scraggly, thin, and I had bald spots. I've felt awful about my hair and tried to hide it and myself away a lot. I came to Tim Jon Salon to see McKenna (Mikey) to see if she could do something with the limp spaghetti noodles that were atop my head. She blew me and any expectations I had out of the stratosphere! I feel like a new woman. It's like she breathed life back into my hair and in turn, me! I've had some great stylists, but I've NEVER been more impressed with a cut. Mikey and the owner came up with a treatment plan for my hair and sent me home with a kit to stimulate growth and a plan to come back in a month. I’m writing this review based on my daughter’s experience at Tim Jon’s salon, and I feel compelled to share what was an incredibly disappointing encounter. From the moment she walked in, it was clear the staff had no genuine interest in providing her with care or attention; every response was not just indifferent, but outright rude.

To encounter such an attitude in what should be a warm and professional environment is profoundly disheartening. A salon should be a place where every client feels welcome and valued, even if they’re just inquiring about services. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Tim Jon’s. Went here with my Mother, because she received a voucher for her birthday. I didn't expect to get a hair cut here as well (I'm a typical guy.... Great Clips works for me....)

But I decided to relent and let them do my hair. Well worth the price. The stylist was very friendly (Mina), and showed me several different new styles I could try. Plus I receive a shampoo and hot towel wrap, and it wasn't much more than what I normally pay at the other place.
