⭐ One star — not because of the service, but because of the management. Our waitress was absolutely amazing — super attentive from the moment we walked in. She seated us quickly, took our drink orders, and brought everything out fast. We ordered pork chunks (masitas) because we had just returned from vacation overseas (UK — lots of fish & chips!) and were craving that Latin flavor. Unfortunately, things took a turn. Someone from the kitchen came out and publicly called out our waitress, asking why she placed an order for pork chunks, loudly saying they hadn’t had them since Saturday. The waitress, clearly embarrassed, tried to signal that guests could hear — but the staff member didn’t care and kept arguing in front of everyone. Moments later, our waitress returned with my chicken soup and, with a soft voice, let us know they were out of pork chunks. We told her it wasn’t her fault — we were just disappointed because that’s the main reason we came. She explained that on the weekend the item wasn’t available, but today (Monday) the system showed it was, so she assumed it was back. Totally understandable — again, this is on the management, not her. She went to inform the manager that we were returning the soup and would just pay for the drinks. No one from management came out to apologize, offer alternatives, or show any care. Instead, they just blamed the waitress and sent her back to bring the bill. For a Cuban restaurant to run out of a classic dish like masitas — and on top of that, fail to properly inform staff — is disappointing. But even more frustrating was the lack of professionalism and ownership from the management. The only reason for the star is our waitress — she did her best. But management failed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Las Vegas Cuban restaurant in Plantation, and overall, it was a decent experience. Here's my review: Let's start with the positive aspects. The food at Las Vegas Cuban restaurant was undeniably good and full of flavor. Each dish I tried was carefully prepared and had that authentic Cuban touch. From the tender lechon asado to the savory picadillo, the flavors were spot-on and left me satisfied. The portions were generous, making it a great value for money. While the server was attentive and efficient in taking our orders, there was a certain level of inconsistency in their service. At times, they seemed a bit overwhelmed, leading to delayed responses or forgetfulness. Nevertheless, they were polite and tried their best to ensure our dining experience went smoothly. Now, onto the area that needs improvement: the atmosphere. As I stepped into the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice that it felt a bit dated and in need of a refresh. The decor and ambiance could benefit from some modernization to create a more inviting and comfortable environment for guests. By revamping the interior design and adding some contemporary touches, the Las Vegas Cuban restaurant would elevate its overall dining experience. In conclusion, the Las Vegas Cuban restaurant in Plantation offers a delectable culinary journey through the flavors of Cuba. The food is undoubtedly delicious, and the service, although with some room for improvement, is satisfactory. However, the outdated atmosphere takes away from the overall experience. With a rejuvenated ambiance, this place has the potential to become a top-notch dining destination.

For our trip to Miami / Ft. Lauderdale my wife and I wanted to try the authentic Cuban cuisine - we found this cozy little restaurant a little late at 10 PM. Nevertheless we were greeted and welcomed by the host and waiter. We decided to have a Las Vegas Sample platter as appetizer - a mix of potato, chicken, beef, tamale, empanadas and fresh plantain chips. Each item was delicious and full of flavors. All the meat was tender and very fresh. Overwhelmed by the amount of food we were unable to finish it all since we also ordered an entree to share. Our Last Vegas entree had a mix of chunks of chicken, grilled beef and pulled pork with a side of rice and black beans. Each dish was cooked to perfection - the beef had a little crisp on the outside and very tender on the inside - wow! - the pulled pork was my favorite as it had the right balance of flavor and tenderness. The homemade sangria is definitely one for the books, refreshing with fresh fruit and not too sweet. The amount of food was huge and we took home 2 full containers even after we shared the appetizer and entree. We will definitely come back again in the future!

On Tuesday August 27th, I place a order for pick up when I arrived I checked my order and I realized that the meat was small and thin.I ordered from the lunch special plenty of times before and the meat was never this small and thin so, "I ask why is the meat this small and thin" Marlene who was checking me out at the time informed me that this is the lunch and I told her I know it's the lunch special and I ordered from the lunch special plenty of times before and it was never this small and thin, so I ask her can the meal be remade to a reasonal meat size, she's starts cutting me off and being very rude not letting me talk, I ask can I speak to a manager and she informed me that the manager is not there and so she would be the one to talk to, but after asking to speak to a manager her demeanor changed, long story short she final went into the back ask the cook to remake the meat to a reasonable meat size. Normally I have a great experience here but Marlene needs to learn how to treat and talk to customers. She truly lacks in this department and I get it sometimes we have off days but never let that interfere how you treat people. This is how the best resturants stop getting business because of employees like her. This time around my experience was absolutely horrible due to Marlene bad attitude I hope I never have to check out...
