First off I should say that if I was only rating this place on the quality of the Escape Rooms they have the score would be higher. Our problems began when my friend called to reserve a time for the escape room, the first girl he talked to told him that they do not take reservations for the escape rooms, you just show up and if they are open then you can sign up. I've done several different escape rooms and that is something that I have never heard of before. My friend pushed and the girl did allow him to make a reservation. He got a call later in the day from another guy at High 5 stating that the room was already reserved at that time, that they do take reservations but that he is the only one that can take a reservation. Also that he would have to pay for the room over the phone to reserve it and that there would be a 20% convince fee added to the cost. So now a room that is $20 per person is now $24 per person. I have never heard of a cost that high. We got there did the escape room and did enjoy ourselves in the room. The room was well done and while it was not the most challenging room that I have seen everyone agreed that it was a good room. When we finished that room we decided to see if the other one was open. After we got on the schedule for that room and paid for it we were told that the room was having issues. I can completely understand technical problems so I have no issue with this. We decided to go get something to snack on while we wait and the staff in the dinning area seemed completely lost and disjointed. We figured that we had only about 20 minutes to wait so we figured we would order something quick and then be ready. It took longer than that to get our order of nachos out to us. The waiter even asked if we noticed him loosing his mind a little while ago. After we did get the nachos (which were tasty), we went into the 2nd escape room which again was well put together. There were still some technical issues so our time wasn't as good as it should have been but hey still under an hour so winning I guess. The escape rooms are very much worth going through, just the rest of what we saw didn't seem to run very smoothly and I still can't believe a 20% fee to...
Read moreI'm reviewing an escape room inside the TBK Entertainment Center. We played "Singularity." (There is also a "jail break" themed room which we intend to try next year.) We took 7 people to the room. We were a mixture of experienced players (from 5 games played to over 60). We signed in at the bowling counter then waited for our game master to let us into the room and give us instructions. She did a nice job going over everything but did give away one thing about the room (which we wished she had let be a surprise). The overall room design and quality was good. The items in the room were in good condition. Be aware, as we've found with other Sci-Fi themed rooms there will be a lot of buttons to push and lights to light up. Not as many puzzles to solve by manipulating props in the room. Our group found this room quite difficult, and had to ask for a lot of clues. We were told that someone had solved this room with 20 minutes to spare and we have no idea how that was possible, LOL, but good for them! Our game master was quick with the clues as soon as we asked for them, but the clues on the screen disappeared too quickly for our liking. We wish they had remained on screen a bit longer so we could refer back. I gave it three out of five because I felt like there wasn't as much for everyone to do. It felt more like we had to wait for one thing to be solved before the next thing could be solved and if that didn't go quickly the rest of us were just waiting around. It also was often difficult to tell what the result was of us solving a puzzle. I believe there was a sound that went off but we didn't necessarily know what was triggered and we had to go searching for it . We definitely want to try the other room to see if it plays more to our group's liking, since it's a...
Read moreMy family of 18 visited TBK Bank Sports Complex today. We had the absolute best time. We started with bowling. The bowling check in was pleasant and fast. The kids loved the different faces that would appear on each players face when it was their turn to bowl. Oliva greeted me with a friendly smile and got the kids water with lids per my request. The bartender was quick in getting adult beverages and even made a extra trip to get more champagne for my drink. The food was not your typical "bar" food. The wings, tacos, salads, onion rings, cheese curds are the best we have ever had. Don't get the chicken sandwich get the chicken BLT instead. I asked for a manager to chat about how neat this experience was. Liz was working and showed a true passion and loyalty to the TBK family as she has been at the center since the beginning. She was a joy to talk to and even helped us on the VR. You must try the VR and laser tag. We paid for the kids and some adults to do laser tag however, they did not have enough vests. We ended up using those passes for another round a the VR, which they made up for it, so we were happy. In addition, I called the bowling center after leaving, as there was an item left at the table where we were eating. They are holding our item so we can pick it up later. Great customer service. Overall, 5 stars for this amazing afternoon with family. Today we brought home many memories together and look forward to another day at TBK Bank Entertainment...
