I posted the following review on the business's Facebook page and got what I expected -- a half-hearted not quite apology that didn't address my concerns. The review is below. I'm really upset that I have to post a negative review for a place that I was so excited to visit when I first heard about it. I'm just going to be objective, and hope that this criticism is welcomed and taken with genuine thought and not a half-hearted apology. I've worked in the restaurant industry before as well as a separate business on their opening day, so I hope that makes me somewhat more credible.
I went with two other people today (12/30) and arrived a little after 3:30. The line was a little long, but was moving at a good speed for having one person on a register. Our order was taken at 3:41 and was brought to our table at 4:10. During this wait time, nobody came by to let us know it would be a bit of a wait. There was no obvious manager on shift to take care of this or to perform table touches after guests had received their food. It looked like there were too many people in the kitchen and staff had drinks in the kitchen area. We had to sit on the Coffee Hound side due to no open tables on the CC side, but that's not an issue to me. The music was very loud for the size of the restaurant.
I got a cup to get water from the soda machine and the counter was pretty dirty and the garbage can I saw was overflowing. The floors needed to be swept. The straws for customers by the soda machine are the same as CH's straws -- I understand trying to save money by using the same product in two locations, but the fact that unwrapped straws are in the open and tons of people could be touching them while grabbing a straw for themselves is a health risk. I did visit the restroom while waiting for our order and it was clean, although toilet paper was almost out in one of the stalls.
In terms of the food itself, it was lacking. All three of us ordered the calf size (the cow is huge! Kudos to anyone who goes for that size) and the price, to me, was fair for what was received. I just ordered the original mac. For how long it took, I had expected the food to be steaming hot and fresh from the kitchen, but it was just warm and looked like it had been sitting out for a little while. The crispies that come with the food were pretty good, if a little stale. I noticed that a huge tub of them is made ahead of time, so that may be why they were stale. The other two people I was with also had similar comments about their orders -- the flavor was great, but not hot enough and stale crispies.
Ultimately, we ate a few bites of our food and packed it up to reheat in the oven at home. Between the drive to get here and the wait for the food, I just...

The last five times we've ordered there is always something missing and we don't live close, so it takes 40-60 minutes to get a redelivery or to drive back. So today I ordered a late lunch for me and my three boys. I had just gotten pickup the day before and thank goodness I hadn't left the parking lot because an entire entree was missing. The kitchen staff seemed completely oblivious to why the woman at the front end was asking for a replacement. But no matter... I got it, got home, only to realize that not only was I short two crispies (I had ordered extra), but the staff apparently thought that the extras I ordered meant we didn't need the ones that were supposed to have come with our meal. No matter. We like this place, so I let it go. Whatever. TODAY, I was too tired to go drive there and back, so I ordered delivery. Same exact thing as yesterday thinking SURELY this could not go on. I was hoping with all my might. Entree missing, short the crispies meant to come with our meal. I've HAD IT. I tried calling the store to hopefully get to the bottom of it. Someone picked up, but said nothing. I could hear the store and people talking, but after saying "hello?" and "can you hear me?" seven times, I decided to hang up and call back. Now the line is busy. Someone left the phone off the hook. I keep trying back. Still busy. Finally, I have to cave and just reorder so all my children can eat. Even with the refund, it still costs me another $9 to get exactly what we were missing. Cheesy Cow, we love your food, but I can't do it anymore. I can't fight with my kids because they are howling for food and your people keep making the same mistakes. I can't keep separating these guys because they're fighting over the uneven split of crispies. And these are just the two more recent events. If you're local and can eat there, I'd recommend it, but that is not something that is going to happen with us. Read moreLove the design of the place. Being that is connected to Coffee Hound it does have an aroma of coffee throughout the building but nothing overpowering. A bit of a wait to get our orders taken but nothing too extreme. My kids both got the chicken bacon ranch mac and cheese, my wife got the pulled pork mac and cheese, and I got the cheeseburger mac and cheese. Her food was out within 10 minutes of being ordered what's one small issue on mine. There was a fire roasted chili sauce drizzled on it that was not on the menu. I tried it and did not enjoy it and let the staff know who quickly apologized and took it back to be remade without the sauce. I am not one to get upset when minor mistakes are made or when something is not listed on the menu but shows up on the food, things happened, as long as the establishment corrects the problem I have no issues at all. At this time I would have expected my food to be brought out within five minutes of being sent back to correct the issue for the customer. Unfortunately after my wife and children had finished eating my food had still not made it out. I waited another few minutes and finally went up to the counter to ask him what was taking so long, they had never remade my food. They apologized again and then brought my food out to me to go as I had asked because I did not want my family to have to sit and wait with me at the restaurant to eat. The quality of the food was good, I can't wait to try some of the other Mac and cheeses as well as the melts. I thought the price was a little high but nothing too ridiculous.
