Generally, I don't like how the cafe is organized at this location. There is this huge, dining-hall style table that is never used when I am there and it takes up so much room in the cafe. I don't like sitting there. I never see anyone sitting there. Why don't they just get rid of it? Why don't they have more smaller tables? Also, I don't like the arrangement of the non-table and chair furniture, the armchairs and couches. They have it all arranged to make a sort of nook, and if you sit there with a book or newspaper, you are somewhat forced to share space with other guests. This is definately not ideal. Other Starbucks pair these larger arm-chairs and dot them throughout the cafe. I prefer that. Another thing: they don't update their newspapers. I've went in there multiple times for a cup of coffee and newspaper, and their newsstand is out of date. They need to speak to their distributor or something, because something is not happening with the newsstand. At the very least, they should make sure to throw out the old newspapers. It is depressing to see Thursday's newspaper still lying unread on the stand on Saturday. The customer service here is o.k.. The baristas aren't unpleasant or anything, they're just sort of bland. They don't engage you and often just chatter among themselves. Sometimes you go in a Starbucks and you literally feel uplifted after interacting with the people working there; not so here. At this location, the folks are just doing their jobs. The music is way too loud here, too. Turn it down! This is becoming a problem with all Starbucks, but this one in particular. The music literally hurt my ears one day. It felt like I was in a dance club rather than a coffee shop. My favorite part of this cafe, however, is the active bulletin board in the front near the pastry case. The community uses it and it is generally updated with...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Starbucks stores I've ever been to. The baristas are, typically, very unfriendly and have very poor customer service skills. I've had to argue about my drink order, how it differed from another drink, just to get it right. Let me be clear. I order a venti peppermint hot chocolate with a single shot of espresso. The barista argued that I should just order a peppermint mocha with a single shot and add vanilla. This was an argument where the barista told me I was ordering wrong. Going there today, about 2:30p.m., was the final straw that made my husband and I decide to not return. I ordered my drink and my husband's (a venti, iced, quad-shot caramel macchiato) and two cake pops. It took several minutes to get the pops, another five to get the macchiato, and another ten for the hot chocolate. No exaggeration. It took over 15 minutes to get two drinks and two cake pops. During this time, none of the baristas even talked to me about what was taking so long. Eventually, I got my lukewarm drink with the explanation that they ran out of whipped cream and had to make more. I can make whipped cream from scratch in less...
Read moreI usually enjoy Starbucks, their costumer service and their friendliness, but my experience as this location was much different. The staff seemed restless and irritated. They made my experience very awkward and uncomfortable. Their behavior towards me was very unpleasant. They were irritated with the fact that I did not wait long enough before entering the drive thru after placing an online order. I understand how this could be frustrating if the line was long and the inside was packed, but we were the only costumers at the time. They felt the need to let us know we were supposed to wait 5-7 minutes not once, but three times in a very snarky manner. This made the process very uncomfortable as their tension was high. I understand that you never know what anyone could be going through and I truly hope maybe today just wasn’t their day, but it didn’t feel necessary. As a paying customer, I did not enjoy feeling uncomfortable while receiving the items I paid for with multiple eye rolls and sarcastic laughs. I hope they take customer service more seriously...
