The Port Aransas Ferry is such a fun experience and definitely a must-do for young families! Even though it’s a short trip, it can add about 30 minutes to your drive—but it’s totally worth it. The kids loved the chance to get out of the car, take in the views, and snap a few photos. You only have about 5 minutes before you’re back on the road, but it’s an exciting little adventure. This ferry ride is a unique and memorable way to reach Port Aransas, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area! ======== Follow me on Tik Tok & Facebook: @joeypauga

Highly recommend the free ferry ride! It’s a super cool experience driving your car on a boat.

It's free! If you're not from Corpus, just follow the car in front of you until you see a person who points to where you're supposed to go. They're very good at directing people. Make sure you roll your windows down some before turning off your car while on the ferry (required). It gets hot quickly. **If your vehicle's battery is low, you might want to have a jump box. It takes an hour for a tow truck to come out, and they'll be down a ferry.

I pass over the ferry quite often at night this has happened before but tonight was different. The guys working the ferry are awesome. the flaggers is quite a different story not all, but many of them should not have been hired in the first place. I was approaching the ferry. The guy I was approaching was not paying attention at all and had his light facing downward. As I got near. He abruptly says to stop as if I was in the wrong...His supervisor or whoever was training him starting blaming me. When i asked for the two individual names from other flaggers. None knew their names..It was pathetic when two employees from the state I believe begin to argue with me as if I was to blame. Far from it. not sure where you finding these individuals but as Representatives TxDOT they must be held to higher standards. As well as whoever is hiring them It was a joke And almost laughable Arguing with me when they were in the wrong the supervisor the one with glasses almost looked like you wanted to fight or something lmfao. That would have been a big mistake I can guarantee you that period . The one with the glasses also said something about didn't you see where you were going LMFAO that makes no sense at all. No that's your job as a manager myself I would have fired them on the spot. It's obvious that y'all are hiring just whoever walks through the door and that's where you make the mistake I have managed people my whole life I would never ever hire these two individuals they have no people skills, blame don't take responsibility for anything very weak I'm not sure what you're hiring processes is but whoever is in charge of it must do a better job this is not the first time this happened. There have been several instances where the same thing has occurred please train these individuals or do a better job at the hiring process I would be embarrassed as the hiring entity for these individuals....

We love the Ferry so I can’t give a negative rating. But i wanted to share our experience we had with a very large young man. He is most definitely the sloppiest at marshaling vehicles. Cannot be bothered to raise his arms above his waist for drivers to see his signals. As my husband crept forward he began screaming. We stopped. He did a sloppy hand wave again- confused we began to creep forward and it set him off. First of all he was standing infront of the vehicle he wanted to move forward while we had no worker in front of us. Move over then? Raise your arms so we can see? Standing across the ferry people cannot see your extremely lazy signaling. He proceeded to give us dirty looks and shake his head. Reading other reviews i see we aren’t the only ones encountering his rudeness and sloppiness. The ferry system shouldn’t be ran with lazy personnel like this as it could easily lead to accidents (and def shouldn’t blame vehicles for misreading a lazy half done marshaling)

Use your arms. Raise them for drivers to see. Make clear precise motions.

Otherwise we love the workers and the ferry. We appreciate all they do through the seasons and weather. Hope to see this young man addressed before there’s...

A Ferry employee was very rude. I wasn't sure were I should be, thus, I deviated ending in my being in the wrong lane. I get back over in my correct lane, after realizing the error of the lanes not being closed off appropriately. Has the lanes been closed off correctly this would not have happened. A younger guy ask me to "turn around". Thinking he meant look over my shoulder, I looked over my shoulder. This very large (not tall) ,older, Caucaziod man walked up to my vehicle berating me, my handicapped son and two grandchildren. My son has Downs , my grandchilden are very young 6 and 8 , neither are accustomed to such aggression. What bothers me is that the larger than life guy ,waited until he "confirmed something" by peeping in the vehicle before quickly YELLING AT US, and walking away. At this point I'm livid yelling back at the "Large guy" the younger guy handled the error very professionally. To the larger than life guy,,,if you can not turn your B.M.I. around,,,you can NOT turn me and my family...
