Bay Quest — Local services in Port Aransas

As I was walking around the store, I was I wearing a swimsuit with a cover up. I found some athletic shorts that I tried on top of my swimsuit bottoms. The manager walked past me and my friend yelling "We have dressing rooms" multiple times. I did not see the issue with putting shorts on top of my swimsuit bottoms just as I would if I went to the dressing room. As we were going to check out the cashier was a young man who seemed to be messing around with customers, he was friends with instead of doing his job. Another female working came and started ringing up customers. We decided to get henna and the female worker helped us and was nice. Once it was time to check out, there was a line formed with two registers. One for the henna and the other for everything else. The female was in charge of the henna register and the young man was in charge of the other register. The young man was standing around and talking behind the register despite the line. Those in line became upset when I went to pay for henna and was taken before them. The female worker told them there is one register for henna and one for other items. The customers moved to the other register where the young man was supposed to check them out but continued to take his time before addressing them. These workers are rude and do not do their jobs beside the young female worker. This was the worst gift shop experience I have ever had in Port A, and I visit here often. This was my first time here and I will not be going back to this shop. Go somewhere else that they will...

Just left this ripped off shop! My daughter was making a purchase today and had to put 5 items back because that’s all the babysitting money she has. My daughter has a learning disability so I was watching her trying to make a purchase on her own. There were two woman working one register which is why there should only be one person so the other woman could help out but here is why I say that. The old lady who would not stop talking and let me explain that she over charge my daughter. This lady was the worst at customer service one I have ever experienced! She tried hiding a ring in her hand and told me they took off 4 items because that’s what the receipt showed but they kept 5 items!! I told her you’re hiding the ring in your hand! She kept telling me no trying to move around the other items which were a necklace and some bracelets like I don’t know how to freaken count! I worked as a cashier and customer service for 14 years I think I know how to count!! She was telling me I’m a bad person but she was just upset because I was telling her customers in the long line to check their receipt because this lady was stealing from my daughter! She didn’t want to give the money back and she told me to call the cops! One of the customers in line even told her to shut up because she was yelling like an idiot!! It's a big store. Has a lot of cute tops and swimwear. They don't offer many swimsuits at $9.99 like they have posted all over their windows. The good bathing suits are sold separately and all the ones I saw started around $29.99 per piece and went up to about $38.00 per piece. So your looking at spending atleast $60 on a bikini. I like how they sell the bottoms separately from the tops. Not all women have a small bottom to match their top🙃 They have tons of sayings and funny quotes that you can have ironed onto a shirt. Just need to purchase a shirt or pull over from them. I will say the only thing that I didn't care for in this store was the dressing rooms. They are shared dressing rooms. I prefer men and women dressing rooms being separate not shared. The dressing rooms are dark and eerie. I didn't feel real comfortable trying on clothes. But since most of these tyoe stores don't allow returns, I bit the bullet and tried on a few items. The female employee who helped my husband with his shirt was professional and very pleasant.
