The way the 2 ladies treated me and my sister on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 9:45 AM was disrespectful. We were Ignored. We walked in with 4 bags of donations and a large clock for the wall. We said Hello to the 2 ladies eating breakfast and chatting with others and they said "All donations go to the church" That's ALL they kept saying. We explained we were from Austin. Came by the thrift store back in February when 2 sweet, older ladies in their 60's or 70's were working. So kind and sweet. Really made everyone feel welcome. BUT on June 17, our experience was BAD. They didn't even talk to us... Not even a Thank You. Didn't even hear what we were saying. They actually kept talking to others and didn't listen to a word we said. Didn't even talk to us. BUT oh wait, when the good old boy (white older man) walked in ,they got up, gave him a hug. Said bring in your donations from your truck, AND we will help you carry them. They left their food and went to help the man. They didn't give us the time of day, just kept saying "All Donations go to the Church". Rude, Unprofessional. Not people persons, unless you know them .... we walked around a few minutes and got a pair of sandals and necklace. We left in Shock. WE are good white Christian ladies in our mid- 60's .... We have Never been treated like this before! We felt like our donations was nothing and not even a THANK YOU!!! But all the regulars were getting hugs, talked to & laughing. It is NO WAY to treat people. They are volunteers and need to learn how to treat ALL PEOPLE with Respect and pay attention to everyone. The Good Loud Jesus would NOT Treat people like they way they treated me and my sister. They are not very nice OR good Christian Ladies. Sets a bad example for others. We are shocked and so sad. Our last visit with older ladies (in February) was so pleasant and nice. The ladies on June 17, Tuesday need to Learn Manners and how to talk to people. We will donate our next visit from Austin, to another shop. Since "Second Time Around Shop" does not appreciate or...
Read moreI'm so grateful for this church and store and how they show love for their neighbors. If a piece of cloth offends you, then maybe you should re-evaluate what it truly means to Love...
Read moreThis Not for profit is a godsend to the PA community! They purposely keep their prices low so as to be affordable to everyone and all the money they take in goes to help support other charities. The volunteers that run it truly do it as a labor of love!
I appreciate they care about the community by helping to protect all of us especially the unvaccinated and imuno compromised by wearing and requiring...
