Visited Drexeler's to see if my shoes might be worth something. Got misgendered my first step in the door. The greeter of Drexler's continued to misgender me through entire conversation on the way back to the counter in the back corner of the store.
I met the person at the counter. I described the shoes I wanted to sell and opened the box for them to see. The counter person said they needed to check with the manager in the back. The counter person walked back behind a screen.
The greeter then felt the need to reach into my shoebox and then put their entire fist into my one non-shrinkwrapped shoe. They at no point told me they would do this.
I was upset that the door person to the store touched my goods without asking. I expressed this in words. They did not apologize and I felt like they thought it was alright for them to reach into my shoebox and start putting their hands all over it because I was interested in selling the shoes.
The counter person heard the conversation I was having with the greeter/door person (the one with the long, black, kinda wavycurly sideburn things) and they immediately exited from behind the screen to tell me they were no longer interested in my shoes.
At no point did anyone in Drexler's acknowledge that what the greeter/doorperson did was both the opposite of what a business actually needs a greeter to do and was offensive to me. They did understand that it was offensive though and walking out of a business that knows it hurt your feelings just to do it is probably one of the saddest experiences 'merica...
Read more10/10 would reccomend. Came in 15 minutes before closing. Steven was super helpful when I asked about what they had in size 13. They have a huge selection of shoes from regular to exclusive. Helped me and my girl find exactly what we wanted. Did not rush us and made us feel very welcomed. Bought 2 pairs of shoes, sold them to me for over $100 below stock-x. Gave me a $20 discount on a pair of Drexler's shorts. Threw in some supreme stickers and a Drexler's snapback for free. Definitely earned a return customer, will be my first stop when I need a new pair of kicks....

Can’t wait until my next trip to Portland, will definitely return soon for...
